Here's what I've gathered from everything they've told us.
In the original Crysis there were 4 modes, strength, armor, stealth and speed. However, people genreally played either speed/strength or stealth/armor.
Thus they've boiled down the suit options to 2. A sneaky type mode or a strength type mode.
However, it's more deep than that. During the game, you will get upgrades which you can spend on the suit. This can alter the two forms of play. Hence, for example, the strength type mode could get a speed upgrade. Thus when you're in that mode you move a lot faster.
The sneaky type mode, for example, could get a "silent when running" option, which now allows you to run and make no sound to alert enemies in that mode.
These upgrades are things I've just made up and may or may not be in the game, but you get the idea, yes?
