any way so then after that i stumbled along the trail untill i found ill Omen and then I went into the room of the guy whose supposedly the 1st contracted guy or the initiation kill and slept in his bed and to my surprise Mr. Freaky who is supposed to sneak up on you after your 1st sleep after your 1 murder [/b]DID NOT[/b] show up at all !! so i guess if i want to avoid the assassins guild i just have to sleep in that bed ?

I guess. The game will not recognize a kill of someone that is ALL bad. That's why the Arena kills don't get you into the Dark Brotherhood. Until.... Maybe the Mage was set as a pure enemy? I forget that quest. Thought he was essential though?

If you sleep in the Inn of Ill Omen, as I think you said you did, then Lucien Lachance won't show up.

Yeah Lachance won't show up at the Inn of Ill Omen because thats where the hit is going to take place. I always sleep at the faregyl inn down the road as it doesn't cost any gold

After I kill Rufio, I always sleep in his bed and Lucien Lachance appears, standing next to Dead Rufio and saying, "So the deed is done... how do I know this?" Umm, cause your standing on him?

But how did Lucien know, so as to come and to be standing on Rufio?

Yeah I often sleep right in Rufio's bed after killing him My good ol' buddy Lucien shows up every time.
