Battlehorn Castle Extended

Post » Mon May 02, 2011 12:01 am

OK I have been looking around for a while now for a mod that adds a bit more to Battlehorn Castle. The things I am looking for are as follows.

1- a few horses in the stable. (I don't know why they didn't think to put that in)
2- the option to hire as many guards as you want eg 1000 gold each (Mounting expeditions, good defence for your castle, and guards that will patrol outside of your castle to kill off imposing threats)
3- castle attacks, so bandits or a foreign army or whatnot attacks your castle (Testing your castle's defences. adds a bit more excitment)
4- mealtime, where at 1 point all the guards that aren't on duty and the servants go into the dining room and have a meal (A community Feeling, and anyway, what do you have a you dining table for)
5- visitors, people showing up to admire your castle during the day. (For people who have put in the effort of getting trophies, filling display cases etc)
6- Merchent system, (A Merchant in your castle that travels weekly to get new goods to sell to you. And also people and merchants coming to your castle for your extensive wine collection etc. . .)

But alas I haven't been able to find anything, So I have decided to make the mod myself.
So here is a list of how things are going

key
Red - Haven't started
Yellow - In progress
Green - Complete

1- a few horses in the stable.
2- the option to hire as many guards as you want eg 1000 gold each
3- castle attacks, so bandits or a foreign army or whatnot attacks your castle
4- mealtime, where at 1 point all the guards that aren't on duty and the servants go into the dining room and have a meal
5- visitors, people showing up to admire your castle during the day.
6- Merchent system.

However I am fairly new to making Mods so I will need lots of support.
Ok but I need A bit of help. I got the horses into the stable and made a special horse called "Battlehorn Royal Horse" that is good but not quite as good as shadowmere.
Now I need to know how I can make it so as you can purchase more guards from the merchant at the merchant's inn. and I want the Guards you buy to not interfere with the current guards. and also how I can make a select few go on patrol.

Thanx ~ Matty

Battlehorn castle, hmm. I think hardly anyone has this DLC because it didn't come with any expansion. I wish you luck with the mod. As a starting point for modding there is http://cs.elderscrolls.com/constwiki/index.php/Main_Page for everyone.

2. For the guards, you can just make them and place them in the inn and then give them follow / stay packages and script them to use it. From what I understand, you can only ever have three followers. However, I have downloaded a mod called Pet Dog. This companion has a package to follow a bone, even when it is in the player's inventory. Perhaps this method can get up to even 10 companions with a follow package targeting, say, a boar steak or a smoked ham. You just pick up the food and they follow!

3. For the castle attacks you will have to make each new attacker npc and make them respawning and not persistent with No Low Level Processing unchecked, and place them in a dungeon or even a dummy cell connected to Tamriel. You would place AI packages on them to have them travel to the castle every day, every other day, or on certain days. Give them their own faction that is checked as evil and with -50 disposition to Battlehorn faction. This way, they will spawn and travel to the castle, fight, die, respawn and repeat.

4. Mealtime. Packages again!

5. Packages.

6. See 4 and 5.

Good luck!
