I know giving Boone a better piece of armor will not get him to unequip his survival armor he gets after you do the Bitter Springs quest, so I cant get it that way. Would turning on hardcoe and getting him killed allow me to retrieve it from his body? I hate that I have to resort to trying to get my favorite follwer killed but the armor is so cool even though its just reskinned bandolier armor, plus I guess my character could use the dramatic flair of having his buddy get killed in action.

Ah well, at least this saves me the trouble of finding a situation that can get Boone killed. He is one tough SOB
