They really need to shorten the range on the SHOTGUN

Come on Crytek it's a Shotgun and when an FPS is ruled by a Shotgun then it's no fun for anybody, why can't ARs be dominant and not the Camo + Shotgun that rules the game?

watch i basicly asked if there was any campers with shotguns because i ran into alot on the demo, and got flamed. Some how me wondering that makes me a bad player... go figure

I was going 22+ and in one case 24-0 in the demo so that is there idea out of the window BUT I am not here to argue about skill when the game mechanic is clearly overpowered.

People just have to think back to the Models 1887s in Modern Warfare 2 to know what i mean.

Those dam guns aggrivated the piss out me. I dont mind shotguns, just make sure the range is set right. Thats where devolpers seem to miss. Shotguns will tear you apart up close but from 20 feet away they shouldnt be

This is one of the main things I was hoping would be tweaked for the final release. I'm disappointed that there's still an issue. In the beta & demo they were like mini cannons.

They still kill you at 20 ft or do at least half of your damage, getting hit a shotgun blast is like getting hit with 8 bullets at once

Realism is closer to balance than you think. Shotguns are effective at close to shortmid-range in the more balanced games I play(Think BC2). Really to gimp a shotgun user is stupid. You should be able to to start doing lethal damage consistently a semi-close range(<20m) not I AM RIGHT IN FRONT BLASTING away junk.

Yes for small mutiplayer games, the shotgun should have a slight nerf to bring it in balance but come on guys I prefer a OP Shotgun that wins at what it is suppose to do than a flying OHK melee from some unnamed game.

So It's your fault they nerfed the shotty. In each demo it became successive worse. I have a simple question for you. Have you tried using it? You have next to no range and it takes most of a magazine to kill some one. The cons of the weapon outweigh the pros when compared to any other. If it was a secondary option it might work but as a primary weapon the sacrifice of almost all range is not worth the choice.

Actually its the 360 noobs(there are Pros) who CAN't aim think the shotgun in OPed. On the PC demo the SCAR and MK60 ruled because of PC players could out aim Shotgun spam. Use nano vision, aim better, learn to use the suit. They will have data from you users to figure out what is OPed or not so PLAY THE DAMN GAME TILL THEN.....I am done.(arg 73% done on steam download....ARGGG.)

Yeah.... sorry.

If you are talking about one(two for the jackal) shotting someone at that range then yes. But IF that is the start of effectness range....no. You are gimping the Shotgun. You got to have some range to make it useful. Just play BC2 to see what I meaning about good shotguns(though that NS2000 the slugs are slightly OPed.)

There shouldn't even be a Shotgun in the game IMO, there should be just Rifles/SMGs/LMGs Sniper, I don't see why Shotguns need to be one of the most effective weapons in the game PLUS they are even more ridiculous when added with camo or Armour lock...

But having it as powerful as it is, is not. It's not balanced. Just because you use it all the time doesn't mean it's fine and doesn't need fixing.
