We're all gagging here, the latest trailer is lovely but it's console footage again and i wonder if anyone could shed some light on when we might see some PC footage or screens, i know there's a demo :) - OK so i should just wait, but come on man! :)

some of the early screens are probably the pc version, im talking about the ones that pretty much looked like a warhead mod, but those are useless now cause im sure it looks way different by now. the 3D trailer on E3 however was supposedly rendered in real time, on a pc.

oh, also ive been looking for a full hd version or atleast higher bitrate, but im assuming noone has that except crytek. maybe they have an agreement with gametrailers (who originally streamed the conference) to not release it for some time now so their site gets more traffic.

I agree with your disappointed, but I think that there is cause to why there are console trailers. Crysis was originally a PC game and now Crytek has to prove that they can handle the console port. Problem with the PC's are that people have different computers which will change the quality you see. I am a PC user but I think my PC may explode trying to handle maximum settings, and that is good proving games are ahead of graphics!

If you guys look at the gameplay footage with the Xbox controls, I heard that that's actually on PC, with an Xbox360 controller. Apparently at E3 it crashed onto a Windows 7 desktop. I heard this from a gaming site, so I can't verify it, but I believe the source.

I saw that interview when it chrashed to Win 7 desktop, but I couldn't se anyone playing and they didn't react when it crashed so i guess that was pre-recorded.
The 3D trailer is supposed to be PC footage though, and you can clearly see that it has better graphics than the X360 demo they played on E3

The demo that crashed on the pc was an xbox 360 emulator so it still had the exact same graphics as the 360. The reason it crashed was probably because of an unstable emulator.

Their 3D demo at E3 was rendered in real time on the PC.

/me holds my breath. Not.

Crytek doesn't seem to like its PC version much, because they hide it like the retarded uncle in the attic. Back to Wars.

If you look closely at the icons, you will see that one of the reads xbox 360 neighborhood, which basically allows for developers to stream footage from the dev version of the 360 to a pc. So in fact, the game was not run as you say on "an emulator on the pc" but run on an xbox 360 developer console streaming a live feed to the pc, which was probably capturing the gameplay for future press materials and also allowing for IGN to broadcast the footage.

I hope this clears up some ambiguities.

Crytek has already said that they will only show console footage, because everyone wants to see what they have achieved on consoles. It's up to them if they want to show us PC Footage.

I would think being on all 3 platforms that showing only console isn't promoting all 3 platforms. I know consoles for crysis is new and crytek want to push consoles this time round which is great, but I would think promoting the pc as well as consoles would be good also.....Otherwise you create speculation that crysis 2 isn't going to be any different graphic wise....Which will cause upraw from the pc community....Lets see some pc footage please crytek....Not much to ask....
