First of all, CAPS LOCK CAN BE TURNED OFF.
Second, this is done on purpose, to allow the consoles to run it.
The popping is due to the low draw distance, which is also so that PS3 and 360 don't explode while playing.
If you don't pay attention, it won't bother you too much. I have no problem seeing this on my 360.
Also, I don't want to turn this thread into a console war, so I'll just add that I own both systems, and love them both.

They can be annoying. Assassins Creed 2 had A LOT of this, and so did other wide-open games. It's also just Poor AA. PS3 Ver. doesn't utilize MLAA. If it does?... Then they failed?

MLAA just helps a bit in these situations. Has pros and cons. Of course the low resolution also plays a part in a few issues as well.

I'm sure if they tried even harder and implemented MLAA and more tricks these pop-ins and shadows would barely be an issue, hard to spot.

I'm not sure exactly how good MLAA is. But it was used in God of War III, LittleBigPlanet 2, and KILLZONE 3. Also will be implemented in BATTLEFIELD 3.

This game is also very big with so much going on with crazy details in a lot of areas. Game is constantly loading more textures as you progress. Something to keep in mind of. (Or is that only in Multiplayer?)

Glitches Galore, during the first helicopter fight one of the glass windows turned in the a brick wall on the angled ceiling. WTF! Still love the game though! wish the online ran smoother. The kill cams are ridiculous! They seem to really lag or the recorded kill is F'ed Up! Delayed or something strange! Pistols are too weak, people can move so fast in the game! The frame-rate is to slow to handle pumping bullets into people! unless you have a machine gun, sniping is the same way, The zoom framerate seems to run even slower than the game. I don't think any of this can be saved. Yes Im going to say it. Call of Duty is the clean cut shooter running at 60 FPS with a solid hit detection. sure it doesn't look as good but I'll take a smoother run than better graphics! Still I am Glad I bought Crysis 2 and can't wait to see what will be patched in the future!
