Random rapid stuttering in Crysis Warhead

Post » Wed Oct 29, 2008 4:49 pm

I played Crysis twice with all High settings with no problems. With Warhead though I'll get random short stuttering that causes the game to freeze for a split-second and causes the sound to buzz. It doesn't last long and then the game plays fine until it happens again. I tried turning down the settings but it still happens. I don't see a pattern to what may be the cause. It's even happened during the cut-scenes. Anyone have a clue how to make it stop it's ruining the game for me.

Try to defragment your hard drive and see your GPU temperature when playing.

if you're have a 64bit processor, make sure you're running the 64bit version of warhead. I had some graphical glitches (although none that bad) when running 32bit warhead on my system

Defrag your harddrive, update your drivers, and tell us your PC specifications please. Also try running in DX9 mode.
