Only have 1 question for Cry-Tom concerning a patch?

Post » Wed Oct 29, 2008 4:06 pm

Hi Cry-Tom; Are the Crytek devs working on a patch to fix the issues I and everyone else is having. To be more specific: The framerate, blur when moving, glitchy shadows, glitchy sound and music, and last but not least the lag (which I'm not really having a problem with). If anyone has any other similar issues please post, so we can let Crytek devs know what needs to be fixed. I love this game and only want it to be near perfect. Please Crytek we need an update on what was found and these are serious problems that should be addressed. And if I'm "whining" then so be it. I'm just expressing my concerns and not complaining about OHK melee, OP weapon, Maps, or other useless things right now that don't apply to these problems. Thank You Crytek for this Wonderful game. You made a new fan that always wanted to play part 1 but never had a PC (I'm a Console gamer). Hopefully you take COD and its fanboys off their platinum pedestal. Commmunity, please no trolling, just any issues you encountered so we can keep this post alive.

One more thing, there's frequent Pop-In of objects and that can only mean Crysis is stressing the PS3. Can it Run Crysis?

no pop-in in killzone or uncharted... i think it pops becouse of bad coding.. we all know ps3 is console king and is 2 times more powerfull than x360

Crytek has tryed too much to make ps3 equal to the three ****..

PlayStation 3 is only 'Slightly' more... powerful? guess that's the proper word to use, than the X360.

Crysis 2 is not stressing out the PS3. It's their first attempt which is a great one! Probably one of the best Multiplatform releases to the PS3.

They are also a 3rd party, not 1st party. There is a big difference to Multiplatforms and Exclusives in quality, and performance.

If Crytek had a team that knew the PS3 like say... NaughtyDog or svcker Punch? PS3 Ver. would most likely be a little better in visual quality, and performance. Also with complete knowledge of MLAA, CryEngine 3 and so on...

Since X360 is all PC hardware It's incredicly easy to develop/port anything to it. PS3 is more complicated. Only 1st party Dev's have more knowledge then most 3rd party studios.

Unless your BioWare (Mass Effect 2, 3) DICE and Japan Studios (Team ICO, FROM SOFTWARE, Team Ninja/Tecmo)

I would add Kojima Productions. But considering they are, or were almost like a 1st party developer/studio to Sony everyone would automatically think Kojima Production as the top studios for the PlayStation. Even though KONAMI Owns rights to Metal Gear, Metal Gear Solid. It's Kojima Productions, or Hideo Kojima himself who favours PlayStation more.
