Unfortunately, this is not a universal thing.

All televisions are going to be different, manufactures all have various settings (some of which may have the same name but perform different tasks).

The best bet is to visit AVSforum and search (before you post!!) for your specific TV model.

If that doesn't work, pop in a THX certified DVD/Blu-Ray and it will have a calibration tool. Follow the steps on the tool to calibrate your TV (this doesn't involve entering the service menu, just the basic tv settings). I would do this a few times and take the averages for the final calibration.

I have a Panasonic TC-P42X1 and was able to find some nice D65 calibration settings for my TV and it makes all the difference during gaming and while watching movies.

*D65 is the standard calibration which the MPAA has decided to use in all theaters in the USA

To fix the ps3 blur just switch the ps3 settings from 1080p to 720p,the blur is due to the up scaling they did on the ps3 version. The 360 runs the game on 720p which makes it look the way it does,i have a friend who has crysis2 on both 360 and ps3 and when we made this change to 720 all was fixed the blur was gone and it looked great :).

I would like to quote this, because it will probably be the #1 issue people have with the graphics but won't know how to fix.

I hope Crytek patches an option to force 720p as it really makes the game a much sharper experience, which in a shooter matters a lot.

If you have a 1080p television, you have to "uncheck" the 1080i and 1080p options in the PS3 video settings for game to render the 720p version. Highly recommended, especially if you have a larger size television.

Everyone should first go to http://www.tweaktv.com/tweak-my-tv/ and change your settings into the recommended settings. This website is the number site for T.V settings and fixes the color and everything! I never knew about this site until after a year I got my HDTV but dam it looks so good now with the settings I got from the site.

Make sure your HDMI settings on the PS3 is 720p and 480p. Turn super white off and RGB limited and crysis 2 will look amazing! Brightness in game default.

Why RGB limited? I've got 47" LG LH5000 and I have no problems with games yet for framerates or something like that. My RGB is full , superwhite is off and playing on 1080p, there are already selected on ps3 720p,1080,1080p alltogether. My colour setting is game mode only. I think we'll need only adjust brightness for this game.

Hello Mates,

I haven't played this game yet. I've read many comments about the how does Crysis 2 looks better on ps3 and what we must to do play with best graphics.

I want to write a few advices what I've seen on forums. Actually I will try these options after 25 march when I get the game.I think advices can show different things between LCD-Plasma tv's.My advice is you should check this settings and see which is better on your tv and enjoy the game.

RGB limited is fixes blur screens.

720p will show better than 1080p.

Ingame brightness need to adjust darker from default settings.

Hi, yesterday I got the game for PS3. I have to say that is the best graphical game I have ever play (I have killzone 3 and although it is awsome graphically speaking, I thing Crysis 2 is better). I first play the game in 1080, and then I saw in this forum that is better if you play it in 720 and with RGB limited and White.... OFF.
Well, i tried that and I cant see any difference. I take two photos, that i will post, to see if you can find differences. Both are with 25 britghness.
First one: 720p RGB limited WHITE....OFF

Second one: 1080p RGB full WHITE....ON

http://img855.imageshack.us/i/dsc03488g.jpg/

I know maybe taking a picture with the camera is not the best way of comparing this, but I really couldnt find any differences.

There are a little bit difference actually doesn't matter. If you can look carefully to building shadows are better on the second picture. Lol standart settings are showing it better? :))

changing the display settings on the ps3 from 1080p to 720p is not going to do anything if your using an lcd youre probly getting the ghosting effect that is quite common with older, low end , and even some newer model lcds and leds google it and you can read all about it
