i mean if i want to repair something he says take me to the his shack, that would of cool but of course loading and more loading

I find him a very useful companion. I actually find Boone the most useless companion.

At max level, yes, but in the beginning Boone is pretty powerful.

Anyways, Raul strength lies on his companion Perk.

Raul is the least annoying character i'd say, and he is pretty bad ass when he gets his Vaquero armor on. Boone is just a depressing guy I don't with me.

Weird thing, I am a little homophobic but my fav companions are Arcade and Veronica :wub: Veronica just brightens my day!

tbh i hate arcades ass clown sense of humor,boone is a crybaby emo with a death wish/veronica is nice but her unarmed combat is very limited ,raul is nice and hes perk is S E X Y lol.cassidy is my perferred follower

I can deal with Arcade, he and I have the same personality, but Veronica I pretty much got across the bridge of 188 and said 'Yeah....no' and never looked back.

I've had alot of companions and Veronica is probably the funnest to have around.

Raul's perk is pretty good, but it is annoying that you can't simply have him repair gear for you on the spot, though I guess that'd be like having two perks. And with him around, now that I think of it, I haven't actually had to repair my weapons in a really, really long time.

I dislike Cass as a companion. She complains about needing a drink too much. And I use a multiple companions mod, so her "caravan of two now" just sounds silly. My fault, I know, but still.

Try using a Assault carabine without him loaded with surplus ammo, then with him, then tell me he's worthless.

Its a shame that they didn't expand further with Raul as I wanted more of a side quest with Raul then just visiting 3 people and then allowing me to choose his outfit or direction. Also the Voice Actor Manny Trejo he did a good job with Raul including Using the Word Boss in his lines.

Out of all I've tried Raul has been the best with Arcade as a close second.
I haven't tried Lily yet and I haven't spent a lot of time with Rex but the others are like something from a waste disposal when compared to Raul.

I like his side-quest. I enjoyed being able to just listen to him describe his life post-war.

I realy like raul he actualty reminds me of a friend I had even sounds a lot like him too.

Indeed, I feel like Raul is this sarcastic but very wise sage. Not to mention he's got a very learned and neutral outlook on the world.

I LOVE Raul and Regular Maintenance. Also, have you tried putting Junk Food or Fancy Lad Snack cakes in his inventory? He comments on it. I love all of his diaglogue and his story is heartbreaking.

The thing I like about Raul is that if you do his quest, give him random items in his inventory he comments on (like listed above) and just talk to him more you feel like you become friends with the guy.

Two buddies traveling the wasteland getting into wild shenanigans. Besides Raul is an open book, sure a few of the pages are missing and it's in Spanish but he's an open book! :wink_smile:

I consider Raul's Perk to be one of the best in the game. I don't care about his Repair bench skill, tho. But even his Regular Maintenance ability (50%) is very noticeable and suddenly all your weapons feel like they hardly need repair in the first place. Plus he's great with any bullet gun you give him, just like Cass/Boone.

But I still prefer Boone. I like Cass too, but I'd like her even more if she'd just be quiet once in a while.

Raul rocks. With a PC game glitch you can have everything you and he can carry (and ED-E or Rex, for that matter) repaired to 100% for free (but you have to have enough caps to at least cover your single most expensive repair). Just travel with him to his shack, take all his inventory, tell him to part ways and wait at his shack, walk up to him and ask to repair your things. Once he is done, crouch, pickpocket your caps back using "take all" (he will likely catch you, but won't become hostile) then leave and re-enter the shack. Presto! You get all your caps back, and you can repeat if you didn't have enough to cover everything the first time. He can then re-join you when you're done. Some may call it cheating, but I consider it a make-up for not being able to use him to repair your stuff when traveling.

He's also funny as hell. He has a particularly funny comment after you've chosen one of the more gruesome acts you can commit later in the questline.
