Floyd Barrett - That should be pretty obvious. In case anyone doesn't get it, I'm a big fan of Syd Barrett and Pink Floyd.
Cool. Maybe I'll name my next char "Emily" in tribute to yours.
"I've got a bike, you can ride it if you like........."
Back on topic, some of my chars:
Trinity Fox - Morally ambiguous Merc type. Probably will go with House or Yes Man (Trinity from the Matrix and Megan Fox simply because she's so fetching. Yeah I know shallow)
Tesla Goth - Another morally ambiguous one. Think she went Legion (after Tesla from "The Great and Secret Show" and after a Swedish foreign exchange student girlfriend some years ago)
Beatrix Kiddo - Legion Playthrough (Kill Bill)
Reilly Loveland - goody two shoes char for an NCR playthrough (the name just seemed to fit)
And i find it much more awkward to play with as myself, mainly because what i would do is not usually an option (Screw you guys! I'm going to California! :hehe:). It's easier for me to take a third person viewpoint to the storyline, easy by having a character that most definetly is not me, that is, a woman.
Of course all our brains wired uniquely, people do, see, and thinks things differently

You and I are in the same place. I almost always prefer female chars and never play as myself. RP is more like watching a movie to me. And I make the char I'd want to see in a movie.......like Beatrix Kiddo, Alice or Salt.
My one exception was Oblivion which only worked for me with a male for whatever reason. Then again I didn't finish the game as I got very irritated with some of the scaling flaws and the dungeon crawling (bad voice acting, inane dialague etc etc).
