Wall Scaling

I'd like a climbing system, even if it's just climbing ladders and ropes and mantling ledges like in the Thief Series.

Speaking of Thief, I'd also like to see some rope arrows. Both for traversing horizontal gaps and vertical obstacles.

If this game ends up anything resembling Morrowind, players will be able to jump onto rooftops pretty easily.

No thanks. I can't see it fitting in without feeling really out of place.

I think it would be very appropriate for thief/stealth type characters. Like all other things, if you don't want to use that feature of the game, then don't use it, ya know?

Unlikely indeed. Perhaps not full fledged parkour, though, too showy, but damn yes, I would enjoy reaching my target by other means than the stupid door.

Wall scaling would be such an immersion factor for me.

I'm pretty sure that having a universe where the only ladders you can climb are exits that magically teleport you to the top/bottom is more out of place than being able to scale a clearly scalable wall.

My vote is "YES" on wall-scaling. It was fun in Daggerfall.

I would suggest the skill be coupled with Acrobatics to make the game somewhat simpler, though. As cliche as it is in games these days, having the ability to scale walls, cling to ledges, and pull yourself up would be a great addition to elder scrolls games.

I would also like to see the addition of less acrobatic wall-scaling, like grappling hooks, for example. Though that would be worthwhile only if fairly easy to implement.....

Could make for some very, very fun Thieves Guild and assassination missions if done right.

The whole climbing, parkour and jumping around could all just go under the acrobatics skill. I always thought it was silly that all it did was make you jump higher.

If I wanted to play a game that you could climb building and assassinate people I would be playing Assassins creed right now
I do think that Ubisoft should work with Bethesda on a game though - the DRM, they do both have skills in places were they are lacking like animation, modibility, open worldiness, and all that jazz

At least climbing on building, stealth has always been going around the streets or something, they should, in my opinion, add a Notoriousness thing, since it's stupid that they just forget about you after 3 days, and also add wall climbing for better stealth, maybe it would be copying from AC, but still, those are two things that would add to the realism!

I dont like parkour, please none of it. Climbing, sure, we need to get up those mountains a bit easier than in oblivion. But parkour, no thanks.
