Need Help with Aiming!

Post » Fri Nov 14, 2008 10:23 pm

I'm somewhat new to console shooters as I'm usually a PC gamer. If you look at my gamerscore on xbox live, you'll see I most have combat sports games or fighting games as my game of choice as thats usually why I have a console. So I decided to buy this on the 360 over the PC due to various reasons but one problem: I svck at aiming. How are people so precise? I feel like I am over correcting my aim and completely missing my shots by a mile. Obviously if this was on the PC it wouldn't be a problem for me but now I'm going to seek some tips to master the joy stick. Should I be "snapping" to my enemies with the left trigger before shooting? The only other shooters I've played on the console are Halo

You will have to give it alot of time. That's it you will get better as time goes. Plus crysis is extremely fast pace . Hang in there. Steady aim perk helps

I'm having a lot of fun still regardless of my K/D ratio (which is still over 1.00!) but that's not the point haha. I'll give it some more time and see what happens, I almost want to cry and really glad people can't see my death cam rather than the kill cam

What I tell people and it seems to work is create a privete match and go in by yourself. Now you just practice with the controls, run in a circle around an object and try to keep your crosshair on the object the hole time. Jump off of ledges and try to keep the crosshair on the object. Sprint, slide, run past....do anything that requires you moving, but keeping the weapon aimed and ready to kill at all times. Other than that you just have to practice. My wife started playing CoD4 and when she would run, she would look straight up into the sky, lol...but now with BBC2, CoD:BO, and C2, she has a k/d equal to mine. Just practice.

lower your sensativity, practice, practice and practice. What he said and use stuff like laser targeting and reflex site and maybe go into a lobby with friends and just have a match and practise your aim

Muscle memory my friend. Like everyone else has stated, practice is key like any other game. 2-3 hour sessions a day for about a week-long span should show a significant improvement. Given your K/D is still over 1.00, maybe you should teach my bad teammates your playstyle haha
