you guys carry around way to much weapons, it saves allot of invetory space an weight if you just have a main gun and a side arm.

LOL!
I tell myself that every time I open my Pipboy and every time I get to my safehouse, I start to store surplus weapons.
For some reason, I always convince myself that I "need" all the ones I have in inventory!

I guess I'm too insecure to travel the Wasteland without a few backup weapons, especially if they use different ammo than my mains. I don't play hardcoe anymore, since I got the trophy, so managing weight now is a breeze.
About the only thing I have to really worry about is all the miscellaneous junk I end up with for crafting. Between me and ED-E, we could open our own salvage yard there in Novac! Hmmm, maybe that will be my character's retirement plan. :celebration:

I try and limit myself to role.
Last character had 2 guns but as they were both 9mm's only with different mods, only one could be assigned to a hot key.
My latest one is a murderer, but due to the 12.7 not being a holdout weapon carries 5 guns ( the 10mm as a holdout one ).
The others are Sniper rifle on 3, hunting shotgun on 4 ( may even dump this as well, for lack of use ), and the 12.7 smg on 5.

So even on a heavy combat build I try for 5 and under guns ( one not needed sometimes, the other for a sneak ).

On a more gentle role 3 max, but one if I can get away with it.

These all require however a good repair skill, hand loader, jury rig and or common weapon type / ammo.
Which some heavy roleplayers don't wish to use all the time, so they carry alot of spares and drop guns as well if still playing a non pacifist.

Haven't been using hotkeys lately. I kept forgetting to reset them when I come out of the casinos, and finally just gave up.

All my guns have a use, and as i try to avoid fast traveling as much as possible, i like to be prepared for anything. And use a backpack mod :D

I don't use Hotkeys as its easier for me to just open up the main menu and pick a weapon.

Just a wearable backpack that increases maximum carry weight.

I never thought about rad away haha thanks for the tip :tops: .
Tbh I don't find it as annoying getting rad effected now, the last character I played was a med head so I had high medicene and a advanced rad suit with me ( well on ED-E ).
So I found with the two combined I barely took any rads, not even the 1 per sec that was flashed on the screen..
Truely, on a less medical character the bar rises quickly even on 1 per sec, but on this character it was closer to 1 for every 3 - 10 seconds.

Yeah, if you put on the right gear and all of that, the radiation takes a long time to build up. I used to wear the space suit (minus the goofy helmet) + rad-x a lot, but eventually, as usual, I became tired of switching clothes. Can't be bothered and I just take the extra radiation now. I am so lazy. lol

I still wonder why 2 is reserved for ammo, even AFTER you've changed the ammo key to something more reasonable (like Q)
