Hud Ghosting

Post » Tue Nov 25, 2008 10:37 pm

Okay, so I got my limited edition today for my xbox, installed, got the LE content, and started playing.
I know this is on five year old hardware, but this bug should be easily fixed.
Every time I switch weapons, see a nanosuit message (low health, energy. etc) I see a blurry ghost image of my hud right under my hud, and under the messages.

I can deal with the framerate, but this bug is just really ugly.
Also, it freezes alot during campaign. I really hope they bring out another patch soon.
Oh, and the laser sight is kinda bugged too, when you equip it, and switch weapons, and then switch back, the gun has iron sights AND laser sights, really messing up the feel of the attatchment.

Otherwise, this game is **** fantastic, I'll be playing this for the next year.

I haven't seen anything like a ghost HUD. Are you sure you are not mistaking it with the HUD bobbing feature? If so, it can be tweaked in the game options menu.

Not that, the hud bobbing is fine. I keep seeing a "shadow" of everything HUD wise like right next to itself, but only on singleplayer.

You'll mostly notice this with the nano-vision on but what your describing is a "Motion Blur" effect that occurs throughout the game if you move or turn fast enough.

That's not it either, this shadow is stationary, and is underneath my HUD, appears every time I switch weapons, it looks a bit like a bar code.
it might be my TV, but if it was, it would probably happen in multiplayer too.

I think i know the problem, I have seen video on youtube (search crysis 2 xbox 360 media cows) they show the hud blurs a lot a lot.

this problem could be TV if you running 1080i it happens a lot, then I switched back 720p and seems ok.
