Tired of re-entering your CD-Key and stuff not working?

me too. I'm a game developer in training aka college student. Crytek isn't a company us students say "Hey, there's a good starter company to get my foot in the industry", it's one of the companies we regard as an end goal or destination. Epic games, Blizzard, Bioware - you can't just waltz into these places without being able to show you without a doubt know what the hell you're doing unless you want a horribly paid intern position (if you're paid at all). What happened Crytek.. what happened..

One issue is your obvious attempts to appeal to the masses or what some might call going with the "in" crowd. Call of Duty was successful. BFBC2 was sort of a CoD clone, but it had vehicles and gameplay elements that made it awesome - significantly more awesome than BC1. Medal of Honor (2010) went with a 98% CoD formula and disappointed. I think the ratings on that game were a bit harsh. But it still wasn't that awesome of a game. At least 1-2 hackers on each team along with terrible hit detection killed that game for me. I can't tell you if I like Crysis 2 gameplay or not, because I was so irritated that a task as simple as saving my CD-Key information was too much to handle that I stopped to inform you of my irritation.

I can tell you without playing your game that based on peer reviews and videos I've seen I already know it's not Crysis 1. My question along with many fans is simply - why? Power struggle? Funnest thing ever? 32 player battles (some dedicated servers even went higher than 32), reduced to a mere 16? Did EA make you do it? Send me a pm and blame the publisher, I won't tell anyone I swear. Whatever the reason it revolves around money. $ aren't worth the reputation you had with the PC gamers.

People might wonder if I have these negative things to say why I even bought the game. It's because I had faith. I still have faith for the multiplayer experience, here's hoping when I actually play that repeatedly (and manually) entering my CD-Key will be worth it. Ctrl+V please, Steam's copy to clipboard is useless without it and manually entering a key more than once is .. most frustrating.

Also to note, NAT type moderate. The hell? My 360, PS3, Wii, and all my other PC games = open. Crysis 2 is moderate? Can't find any info to remedy this online since the game just launched today.. what do?

when you first open the game before you log in look at the bottom of the page you can enter your key there and you wont have to keep entering it.

BC2, a CoD clone? Really?? -.-

I said sorta. What I mean to imply is they are similar in that modern warfare brought modern warfare to the next gen and was the first to do it so successfully. BC1 was poo in comparison to BC2, and they definitely took some inspiration from MW and aimed for the same market. In terms of gameplay BC2 really isn't much like CoD at all. Blowing up buildings.. objectives.. team tactics that pretty much don't exist in CoD. But.. in terms of the market you intend to grab - they are alike. So my argument was Crysis 2 is aimed at the CoD market way more than it is aimed at the Crysis 1 fans which could very well prove a mistake in the long run even if it fattens their wallets in the short scope of things to come.

All I can say to that is, try to return it.

It's Steam. Insert sad face here. Besides I haven't actually played it yet. I might love it, I just know what I've experienced thus far is bs, and I know not to expect Cry1 version 2.. cuz it ain't.

when you first open the game before you log in look at the bottom of the page you can enter your key there and you wont have to keep entering it.

Tried that.. here's to restarting the game and trying again. Thanks though hope it works.
