Perferred Character

Which character from Crysis did you prefer playing? Nomad or Psycho. Who is your favorite? I preferred playing Warhead. The Sgt was more rough around the edges- with the corners bit off.

I find Psycho was too one-dimensional and unoriginal. Nomad was more of a representatin of the player. And he didn't behave as 08/15 as Psycho.

Nomad seemed to be willing to go above and beyond for the mission and would always put that as a first priority. This made him seem very brave, though, maybe overconfident with the Nanosuit as well...

In any case, I liked the overall feel and portayal of both characters in Crysis over Warhead.

I prefer Psycho. I love that accent and he could be funny once in a while.
But I liked Crysis best.

Truthfully, Warhead was nothing but chasing some stupid box around for 5 hours. There is nothing very amusing about that, i just wanted to blast some aliens and their ugly little faces off. :P

Loved Crysis, and all the characters, Nomad was Great, and of course a true hero, i mean c'mon, I was controlling him, = True Hero.

Psycho was also fun to play in Warhead, his accent is north London semi/slang and very amusing, G

Game wise, I found the best fun that I could from both games, throwing koreans around, or blowing stuff up, or setting traps, but then that was the beauty of the games, the were so damm flexible that I still play both often.

I didn't like Psycho (As a player character in Warhead) because i didn't feel identified with him. It's personality was developed as a Non Player Character, so I think it didn't fit well as a player character.

"In many computer adventure games, and especially in first-person shooter games, the player character is an anonymous person with no character history or backstory. Typically, this is intentionally done by the game creators so that the player may simply imagine themself in the adventure without being required to play a character who is of a different age, race, gender, or background"

That's why I prefer Nomad as a player character.

That is a good point. The "backstory" attempt by Crytek was those old tapes from the code blues or whatever. But honestly, those tapes never made much sense to me. If anyone wants to explain them to me i would be a good listener. ;)

Psycho was a great character in Crysis, we never saw much of him, but he was damn good. Plus, my favourite line from him:

"I'm British, you muppet!"

XD

Nomad is my favourite as well, but never liked his voice. It was too super man like. But when I heard his voice in Warhead at the end, I was like, that's sounds like a better Nomad than in Crysis!

Actually it was impossible to make a player character out of psycho after crysis, he already had a personality, same as you can hardly give prophet the ability to become a player character without him getting something like memory loss or a depression that changed his life :P

Psycho is a good character, but not good for someone to play as.

You can put yourself in Nomad's shoes because of his personality, which is mostly silent. This leaves YOU to really decide how he acts, which I like.

I prefer Nomad.
Although his character isnt developed too much, I like playing him.
It would be great if it turns out Alcatraz is his new name, and in the end we know it was Nomad after all.
But that would conflict with his voice.
