Revived Players/ Downed Enemies

Alright well I believe I found a flaw with the revive system in Brink. I don't know if they meant for it to be like this or not but when you take out an enemy and they are revived you can shoot them while they are being revived and they take no dmg. They have a slight period of invincibility which is pretty messed up in my opinion. I mean you take this guy out then while you are trying to finish them off they self revive or get thrown a syringe and begin to get up and take no dmg which really makes no sense.

I mean wasn't that the point of having the syringe system in Brink? So you don't get used as a meat-shield or revived in a bad situation? If you have a slight period of invincibility there really is no bad situation or reason to be smart about when you revive yourself is there. They need to fix this imo as if someone tried to revive right in front of an enemy they should suffer the consequences of trying to do that. Why should the player who just killed them suffer when they decided to try and get back up right in front of there enemy?

I kill them when they're getting up. I noticed this especially when using improved-damage-buffed minigun on them.

No confusion, only shot as they were getting up and they died.

Really? I have shot at enemies numerous times while they get up and there health bar doesn't move at all. Then I get owned because I am still injured from the last gun fight. It's messed up because it's like really your going to try and revive right in front of me and I cant hurt you while you do it?

I noticed this also, but only in bots weird enough. I don't know if it's just me but I can get killed while getting up with a syringe, it's happened many times. But just like what you said, when ever a bot is getting up, and even a second after they are up, they are COMPLETELY invincible, they take NO damage. I agree with you, it is rather messed up. Once again, before anyone says anything, im not positive about the only bots thing, it's just what I observed.

People aren't invincible while getting up. They're working off their healthbar for when they're incapacitated. It's not until they're fully standing that they return to using their regular healthbar, and it resets back to being unhurt when it finishes, which can make it look like they were invincible because their healthbar is full at that point no matter how much damage you hit them with beforehand. IF you manage to deplete their incapacitated-state healthbar before they get up, they'll die, and stay down. If you don't, they'll finish the animation and be at full health. But remember unless the player has downed fire, they have a longer healthbar than normal while incapacitated.

They AREN'T invincible, they DO take damage, and they CAN be killed.

Ah, that makes perfect sense. Thanks for clearing that up for us.
