Me again

Post » Tue Dec 09, 2008 10:11 pm

Haven't been to the forums in about 4 months. Look the same. Still haven't read any OFFICIAL release about minimum system requirements. I'll just hope the the internet peoples on here have it right by saying that if I can play C1, I can play 2. I have Windows 7 now, which is buggy. I just got done pre-ordering the ultra expensive Nano-version, which hopefully will work on my computer.

It should work, but how well I do not know. It may need steam to run as well. ( I hope not.) I made a thread about steam asking if crysis 2 would need it to run and no one knows yet, becuase they have not said yes or no.

P.S Windows 7 can be a bit buggy, but the one before it was doom. XP all time best OS.

It has been said before that to run C2 will be the same or lower requirements, so it probably can.

the only problem with XP is that it doesn't support directx 10 and above, so depending on what engine they will be using XP might not even be an option. just something to keep in mind

It has been stated that if your PC can run Crysis 1, it will run Crysis 2 as we have further developed our CryENGINE3 for optimum performance.

Thanks Lee, it has been said a lot by random people, but you make it official.

it's been stated in several interviews with crytek, how was that not official enough? o.O

Still, yes, crysis 2 will run far better. It looks pretty much the same as the original but on smaller maps. You can expect a couple of extra shinies tacked on, but it should be running better than crysis 2 without much of a problem.

The official system requirements will be given out as soon as we have them nailed down, we are still six months from launch, so please expect something closer to the release date.
