Crysis Wars annoyance

Post » Wed Dec 10, 2008 3:32 am

Hi, there seems to be some guys in CW that NEVER DIE!! They have are larger amount of energy and take forever to kill. They don't have aimbot or walls but take a longer time to kill than they do to me. I emptied 3/4 of a scar mag into one of them and he only lost 1/4 of his health, REALLY annoying. Is there a trick/glitch that I'm not aware of or is there another reason? I'm actually pretty good for a newbie and manage to kill a lot of people, just don't understand that one problem.

It takes many hours to get good at Crysis. At first it was the exact same way for me but now I am a pretty good player. It really seems like you are aiming at the other person but you are actually off a bit. It just takes a lot of practice to be able to kill with less than half a clip.

Maybe you need more practice. I can usually kill 2-3 ppl with 1 clip ^.^

With a laser pointer, you'll hit a lot more.

This actually happened to me also, and I'm not to bad of a player, I was playing on the XI hardcoe server, and I shot someone in the head (which is a one shot kill in that server's mod). The "Headshot!" message came up, but he didn't die. It seemed to be a consistent problem, not just a one-time thing, but I couldn't confirm it until then.

Please take into account that due to the nature of the Nanosuit and it;s armour mode, you may be required to 'hit' multiple times for a confirmed kill.

Consider, if you really hit him, it's possible that you spray all of your bullets of the place but don't hit the actual enemies.

If either you, or the enemy have a bad ping, this might happen.

I vote for bad ping, the server sometimes says HEADSHOT!!! when i shot a guy in the legs after he had been in prone..

I use the laser and strafe in armour but the guy kills me alot faster and it seems as though his energy bar is stronger than mine. I usually go for the chest.

I was the highest ranked player there for a long time and I never had that problem, sounds like you guys just need more practice

Is this a problem against all players or just against more skilled players? Some of us have been playing for 3 years...and some competitively so there is a huge gap between the experienced "pros" and the beginners. Even if you are a top player in other fps it takes a bit longer to get caught up in crysis because of the complexity of the game.

A few things to remember: Crysis wars has a high weapon spread and low weapon recoil. This results in bullets that miss target even when aim is dead on when held on full auto for a sec. Since there is little to no recoil, short to midrange shots should be aimed at the head or neck because the recoil doesn't pull you off very much. Prone becomes more efficient for mid to long range fire fights over strafing.
