Crysis 2 BUGS

Here is a list of bugs I have found that, if fixed, would improve the game. Some of them are pretty obvious, others not so much but if fixed would improve the quality of the game. Crytek listen up! and people please comment so crytek knows if these are widespread issues.

Opponents dont die after unloading almost a whole clip on them. Then when it shows the killcam, they kill you instantly with like 5 bullets. Unless you have **** aim, if this is due to lag or connection issues it should be fixed. I think this is the biggest issue people are having.

When respawning, if your already pressing forward on the thumbstick, you wont move. you have to let go of it then repress it to move. This is very irritating!

When zooming in with the sniper rifle with the "alternative" button configuration enabled (crouch and melee swaped), you crouch up and down and zoom in and out at the same time. this is also irritating!

One of the menu soundtracks is overwhelmingly loud at a certain point.

I think when switching the sinle shot and full auto indicator in multiplayer, they are opposite.

Sprinting is to fast? when trying to shoot someone who's sprinting its like trying to shoot a jack rabbit. they just jet across the map.

Side strafe to slow? im a slug when walking sideways.

-sound often lags

-bodies physics seems to be turned off

-lags in multiplayer

-frame after frame animation when you kill someone in multi

-killcams lags always

-no AI

-enemies stuck running into walls

-throwing objects doesn't take attention of enemies

-enemies doesn't reacts to enything that happens around them (mentioned objects, you can blow car 2m away and they don't react)

-animation in general stutters in whole multiplayer

-melee is too weak in multi (game balance svcks)

hm. That's all I can think of right now

nano vision only recognize close up people whereas on PC and xbox it recognizes peoplein very very....veeery far places

:( thats not fair !! crytek we luv ur game sooo f'n much dont do these things to us ! please fix this in a patch or sumthin :')

and don't forget about no way to turn nanosuit speech...

so... CLOAK ENGAGED, melee, CLOAK ENGAGED, CLOAK ENGAGED... over and over again.....!!!! :|

I have also found a few walls that I have been able to lean against and fall through.

There is also an issue with trying continue missions... sometimes it freezes while loading and you get the eternal black screen.

There is another issue with my nano cat. points being in the negatives after continuing. (from -500 to -250000).

the sound glitches on all three systems is bad. All systems seem to have these MAJOR sound issues. EX. skipping/ studder, delays, really bad random static.

Also I have found some game play differences from PC to PS3. For example on PC, on The Road you get to the green bridge overhead. there there is a group of cell ops firing at you. Not on the PS3 version nothing, there is no one overhead.

Why can't I lay down flat? you could in the first few crysis games. It let you hide to recharge you suit and snipe. kinda took away something from the game play there.

When you change into armor mode, why is it that you slow to a snails pace on PS3 and not so much on PC. Movement in general is much faster on PC than consoles. Very odd

May want to fix these issues Crytek. YOU KNOW FIRST IMPRESSIONS AND ALL GOING TO CONSOLES. one bad customer experience equals one hundred people they tell that Crytek games svck. Unfortunately good customer experiences don't work the same way.
I think Crysis 2 needed some more development time to work out the dozens of small issues across all three platforms. One or two bug is understandable but crap this is way to much.

One more thing I must get an answer to. Did you forget to finish the game and give it an ending? Cause it really is leaving a bunch of us with that impression. No final big boss battle? just kill the same crap just like the rest of the game and call it done. You could have done so much better. it makes me sad you didn't polish it enough.

Great list. But this game hasn't even been patched yet, and there will be DLC.
I'm confident the lag issues will be solved soon.

Good list, Lag issue, if u melee some one in the back it should be 1 shot(even more so when the stelath kill fails for no reason and u just melee him taking u out of stealth and open to get shot.

also on the melee side, if you melee some one and then they start shooting your leg, you should be able to kill them first with the melee. 9as it stands right now i try and avoid melee cause its useless, even stealth kills mess up all the time.

Spawning issue, if i am being shot at with in 1 second of spawning something is wrong.... If some one spawns looking at me something is wrong

Those are the bugs I encounter most of the time. Personally, I think the game needed at least another 6 months of polishing and balancing. Right now, I've put back Crysis 2 in its case and I ain't gonna play until a patch comes out. I'm also tired that PS3 players have crappy products.

As far as the single player issues you listed go, I have seen people with the 360 version have the same issues. I have also seen people in the PC forum talking about the AI not working right.

Yeah, in addition to any crashing and loading issues, the AI stuff in single player should be first prioriety for a patch as it is the most damaging to the experience. Plus, AI scripting shouldn't take up much memory, so the patch shouldn't be big.

Yes, the list of bugs goes on and on. Dont get us wrong crytek, the positives outway by far the negatives. The game is fantastic however with these bugs cleaned up, the game could be that much better.

Yes AI needs more intelegence! lets get some medal gear solid type of distractions here in campaign. if you throw a damn barrel out a window next to someone in campaign, atleast dont make him just stand there like nothing happened.

Single shot/full auto option should not reset on your gun everytime you die in multiplayer.

Grendal's wait time inbetween its 3 round burst should be faster!... like burst! burst! burst! NOT...burst!....burst!....burst!

D-pad is to sensative in the menu's. im clicking stuff i dont even want to.

weird how noone else has mentioned this but
the menu selecting sensitivity is annoyingly high, you click once down and it sometimes goes 2-3 clicks down.
example, youre clicking down once for multiplayer and end op on settings. whatte hell


this needs to be fixed, it is annoying as hell, a friend also noticed this

laaaaaag in multiplayer only the host has 4 bars! the rest have two or one! u hardley fin someone having 3 bars! and 4 bars.... impossible unless if ur the lucky bastard who is the host XSSS why is that?!!!

One more annotying thing, but when your cloaked and you perform an action it seems like it cancels if you dont turn cloak off. Ex. Im cloaked and i melee with it still on. It seems like i didnt melee. Just wondering!

Melee unbalanced - one hit KO when in Armour mode - come on
Stealth kills dont work on multiplayer
lag and framerate issuse on MP
Killcam not accurate at all - cause anger and frustration


Campaign very very buggy
Black screen forever
Freezing / crashing
items wont pick up
sounds of a gun firing for ever untill level over ( like crysis 1)
crouching zoom alternate button layout
wrong button displays for alternate set in game
did crytek use any beta testers for campaign at all ????
Im sure more ll pop up the more i play

The laggy games and killcam needs to be fixed. The melee is overpowered because its lunge distance is far. DO NOT MAKE MELEE MORE POWERFULL. Do not listen to these scrubs and "pub" stars who run around and melee people cuz they cant win gun fights. The weapons and suit features are VERY balanced. Good job crytek. There is nothing i hate more then people running after you going for the melee the whole time.

Just the lag MUST be dealt with and fixed. bottom line
