Assassins Creed: Brotherhood

Post » Mon Jan 05, 2009 4:37 am

So what do you guys think about it?

I think this is going to be great, they've done so much to this game, it feels complex, but in a great way. I've always enjoyed what Assassins Creed brings to the table, so I'm certain they will bring great things to this game.

Multiplayer seems good, but for a game like this, it's all about the single player. But I'm sure Ubisoft have great plans for this game, so I'm looking forward to it.

Any Crysis fans looking forward to this? :)

I loved AC2. It was very fun to play, and the open world made it awesome. The DRM was horrible (Needing to be constantly connected to the internet to play) though.

If Ubisoft is still using that horrible DRM, i will be "buying" AC by other means.

I always thought that AC should have a multiplayer. I LOVE the idea of sword fights and freerunning in a multiplayer, as long as it isnt as predetermined and skill-less as an MMORPG like World of Warcraft.

I think they are going to use steam now, but I still don't like it.

P.S I miss the days of put a disk and cd key in and thats it. none of that download a so called "update or patch" of 1GB or more and internet crap. I do not have a 3Dtv, but I wish I did.

lol. XD

I'm definitely looking forward to this game. It seems like it's going to do well. I even heard Roma is going to be 3 times the size of Florence, so that's going to be fun, exploring the world. :D

I will wait for the real Assasins Creed 3.
I also didnt like the renaissance scenario as much as the medieval one.

By the way why do ya think that Asscreed 2 was complex ?
Or Brotherhood will be?

Its a simple 3d person action game... go there do that kinda stuff.
Only because they added a small levellingsystem doesnt make it much more complex in my opinion.

Okay, Complex isn't a great word to use, but more gameplay which matters. I never said AC2 was complex, it was similar to AC1, minus the repetition and other stuff.

You could make it more complex by approaching to the System Shock 2 and Deus Ex levelling systems... But i dont know if this would work for Asscreed.

I honestly think it has potential but believe it will be a sleeper because Ubisoft is notorious for lack of community support. Have they been stepping it up in recent years? Certainly, but I don't think Brotherhood is the game that will change peoples minds about Ubisoft as a multiplayer game maker.

Don't get me wrong, I am an avid Ubisoft Fan, but I also recognize that the game mechanics I like about their games work for Single Player. I love the Prince of Persia, Far Cry, and Beyond Good and Evil Franchises and have followed them for a while.

However, Assassins Creed for me felt poorly paced and because of this I lost interested as quickly as many of my other friends who were playing. I think the game could have benefited from multiplayer but think the AI needs to make a tremendous leap for the game to be compelling. The core mechanics of multiplayer are there, but they are a Single Player Developer. I hope that they continue to make the game a spot and catch scenario. It has some beautiful parkour moments available that ''aim and shoot' could cause players to really miss out on. Of course it would need more because there is only so many ways to climb something and jump off.

I think Halo and MW are just too big. Sorry Brotherhood, I know you meant well. Man do I hope I am wrong...
