Crysis 1 Patches

Post » Fri Jan 09, 2009 11:54 pm

I'm sure this is an old subject however I still haven't found the definitive answer.

How do you patch Crysis 1 to ver 1.2 or 1.2.1 when it keeps advising that the game needs to be patched to 1.2 before installing these.

Your help would be seriously appreciated.

I'm currently 1.1 apparently.

You need to download patch 1.2 first:
http://www.crymod.com/thread.php?threadid=20664
after that the 1.2.1 patch:

Voilá :)

I will strongly recomend that you DON'T instal 1.2.1
On all computers I have had that patch installed it **** up the game, with random chrashes and other stuff. The same happens to my friends that have Crysis.
You should stop with 1.2 it vorks perfectly (Though a 1.3 would have been nice..)

Had a similar issue, installed the hotfix. Crysis 1, crashes and sometime doesn't even start.

Re-installed with Patch 1.2 only, works like a dream come true.

But he says he cannot update the game to 1.2, because the game tells him:

"Your game must be patched to 1.2 before applying this patch".

I had the same problem, the solution was to deinstall the game, install it again (it was 1.1.6 then) and then apply the patches. The patches (1.2 and 1.2.1) could be applied successfully, according to the installers, but the in-game version display still says 1.1.6 ....

Could someone comment on this issue?

Ingame version display is borked, don't worry about it.

Its just a minor set-back in the update of the menu. You don't have to mind it, if you really installed patch 1.2

The menu display was just never updated by Crytek to show the correct version, thats all.

All the patches worked for me, but there is a downside to patch 1.2, it makes it so that every time you shoot someone it makes a strange sound, apparently they though people had a hard time telling if they had hit something.
