Well, Novac is from No Vacancy.
So, I would say no.

I'm quite sure it's fictional, but it might be inspired by the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cabazon_Dinosaurs in California.

The Wiki doesn't say anything about it but, there might be one somewhere, just not in Nevada.

Also, are you asking is there a giant T-Rex or a giant T-Rex named Dino with a gift shop in it?

The World's Largest Thermometer is in Baker, California near Death Valley.

Then there are the dinosaurs so maybe a combination of the two?

From TOW: Tourists can walk inside Dinny the Dinosaur

Dinny... Dinky... Oh well. Think we found the inspirational source.

That's ok....it would be a change of pace from me always "whinging" about them. ;) I'll build a mini-Dinky, only 20 feet tall, and I'll BBQ up there like it's a 2-story balcony. All the kids will want to come over and play in it.

...sort of on topic - I had no idea those dino's existed, and I live in California. Of course, I live in N. California...not an expert on S. Calif. I've been to LA/Disneyland a couple times, but that's about it. If I ever get down there again, I'll have to visit this place and get a photo.

Actuallly, if you check the area where "Novac" is supposed to be you will find nothing but desert and a few county roads. Oddly enough, Cottonwood is much bigger in real life. Nipton is about the same but not in the right place. The devs completely ignored the new highway and bridge south of the dam (probably the largest public works project in the state since the dam was built.

Nevada Solar One does exist in approximately the same location. However the devs took a bit of poetic license by using the concept of the California Solar One Tower. The Nevada site uses tubes and troughs (imagine residential roof solar water heaters on a grand scale (300 acres to be precise.) Not quite as cinematic, though.
