Crysis 2 wasn't repetative at all and offered a lot to do with it's open invironments and suit abilities. So when the end rolled around was actually wishing the game would continue.
The graphics are beautiful (definatly the best NYC ever portrayed in a video game). <--- you can't deny that. Though the game really could benefit from Dx11. Hopefully if rumors are true, we will see the Dx11 patch on thursday. If so, i will be playing through the game again with dx11.
All those wonderful things being said.... there is a lot to be dissapointed with in Crysis 2.
The first and most obvoius is the not-at-all suddle consolization of the game. The lack of custom Graphics being one of the most irritating (thought i played on extreme with over 45+ fps it still makes me mad that there are no graphics slider, AA, AF, Bloom, Motionblur, etc.
Also, the amount of bugs are pretty rediculous for a final product. Sometimes my melee would just stop working, sometimes when i picked enemies up they would flip upside down, about 3/4 of the way through the game my money system glitched and i could no longer upgrade my suit because no matter how much nanos i picked up it was always at 0, etc.
The multiplayer issue is a bit annoying, but this doesn't seem that big an issue for me seeing as all i had to do was delete my cookies and everythings works as expected for MP.
And last but not least the lack of Sandbox was REALLY discouraging as i spent 50x more time in the Crysis 1 sandbox than i did in the actualy game. And the most irratating part being that Crytek didn't inform us that there would be no Sandbox included. If they told me there wouldn't be one at least i would have bought the game expected such. And i find it rather hard to wait until Summer to get my hands on it.
All in all I feel like I spent 60$ well enough. It's as good as any FPS and better than most as far as SP goes. And all rather annoying bugs and features not included... I'm still going to have enough fun in the SP to make it worth the money I spent.
