Yes I have and Black Mountain is fun and the the Mutants/Nightkin are well armed.

Its only tough when, you know, they don't use guns, DT stops 5mm like wingless flies stuck in amber enclosed in cement and shot into space. I walked up to a SM Master and Ranger Takedown'd him off the mountain, I had 16 DT (10 from Toughness rank 2 + NEMEAN, 6 from my bounty hunters duster).

I've done the path up Blck. Mt. at lvl 6 using my 10mm pistol and a scoped Varmint Rifle. I did need to pop a few stimpacks and a few sodas but I wanted Raul. They mostly used melee iirc.

I think there are actually more of them on average/use more weaponry if you go there at high clvls, which can make it more challenging if you're not using high lvl weapons. That MQ scaling stuff perhaps.

DT was a huge improvement, with DR I can kill a Enclave soldier with just a sub-machine gun

And About the Battle at Helios One, The BOS got outnumbered against the NCR, also, they have better tactics. Power Armor doesnt means Nothing if you dont know how to use it

You dont need a Fatman to wipe out an entire army of BOS, you need tactics, also, The Power Armor existed much before than the Fatman....

Okay, so here is a comparitive video of Fallout NV & Fallout 3 both on very hard difficulty. I still can't see how DT has made the game a lot more challenging.

It actually takes more shots to kill enemies in F3 than it does in FNV.

Errr....no, it is because there is no more scale level; IIRC no enemy is scale to Lv30 PC.

That's because:

1. Weapons in NV hit harder
2. There are no [censored] damage sponge enemies like there were in F3.

Veteran rangers, centurions, the Legate and so on all scales up to lvl 30+ at the last battle.

Most enemies stops at lvl 20 before that though.

I couldn't help but to notice how you used different weapons. Against different enemies.

I think the main problem is the AI, and damage dealt by weapons in harder level settings.

When you can sit on a hill and put fire down on enemies that just stand there while getting shot, or at best run around in a circle and
look for you without ever finding you - thats pretty pathetic I shouldn't have to use a non scoped weapon.

If they can't find you after a few seconds they should run for cover not just stand there!

As for damage, damage scaling for harder levels (as in very easy, easy, hard, very hard not actually levels the pc go's up,) needs implemented. If modders can do it, a developer should be able too as well. :stare:

If you make the 9mm do A LOT of damage in very hard the game will actually be much harder because the bad guys will have guns that actually hurt you,
they should also use better ammo like AP, and HP rounds so your armor isn't as effective.
I have never found 1 bad guy that use's special ammo, or at least if i did i don't remember it.
