beat the game..cant continue

Then people will think that's the time remaining to finish the final mission, and they will think that when it reaches zero, they fail the quest and have to start over. So, they will restart their console and post on the forums about the bug.

*sigh* If the timer has shining red text that says "Time until you can select [Yes] / [No] on the pop-up (Note: Time countdown is not time countdown for final quest, DO NOT RESTART THE DAMN CONSOLE/PC!!!!)" right next to it?

Not really in the mood for nitpicking.

* Have it non clickable for 30 seconds with some elevator music rolling in the background.
* Have a countdown timer next to it to indicate that game has NOT frozen.
* Have a message right next to the timer stating it's not the countdown for the game but just the countdown for the pop-up.

Problems officer?

I don't want to wait 30 seconds because other people never learnt how to read . . .

i understand now.

i am sad now but looks like i will restart the game and do it another way.

again sorry for not understanding the window that pops up before the battle. i was confused due the finale battle being a boxed in area you could not leave.

Don't feel like the Lone Ranger. You are not the only one who misunderstood the Final Warning. This is an indication that the Devs need to fix it in the next patch and possibly slip-stream it.

Having said that I hope they take some of these suggestions with a grain of salt. :whistling:

I play on the PC, so I use the mod that lets you continue playing after the
game ends, it's actually very interesting, because the decisions you make before the end affect
the game that you can continue.

My first time through I kept working with Yes Man, so after the Hoover Dam, and being able to continue
to play, the NCR didn't like me so they pretty much tried to kill me on sight, just like
the raiders do.

So being able to play past the "Finale" does have interesting consequences, depending on the choices
you made before the "Final Battle"

is there any chance of getting a link from u about the name and location of the continue afther main quest line ends mod would love to install it so i can keep on going afther the hover dam fight

Hmm, looks like it's been deleted from newvegasnexus...... not sure why.

It was called "Khet's Extended Freeplay after Main Quest"
the only one I can find now is GoABC's play after main Quest, but he gave up doing the mod, and provides a link to Khet's Mod,
but it brings you to an error page...... I guess Khet either gave up on it too, or took it down until he could add the features he wanted. :/

FO3 overall was a much better game that New Vegas is. new vegas is boring after playing it for two months, not nearly as much to do, even though there are a lot more quests in new vegas, there's not many enemies to fight, not a lot to explore, the few enemies are boring to fight, no tactics really at all, most of em are melee fighters so thats boring for a fallout game, but broken steel actually was a great dlc, the problem with FO3 was too many skill points, too many perks, too many special points etc, but broken steel did add good quests and stronger enemies, and it did breathe new life into the game and made it fun to keep playing, i played FO3 for 2 years and didn't get bored until a couple months before new vegas came out, new vegas on the other hand is already boring and it was a good game, it just doesn't have the exploring and overall immersion as FO3 had, new vegas game rating is significantly lower than FO3's was and deservingly so, i also notice the forums for new vegas are pretty slow compared to FO3, so a lot of people bought new vegas but not a lot of people are continuning to play it like they did with FO3, if they did the forums would be super busy like they were with fallout 3 for two years. lets all hope obsidian makes some major changes to new vegas with a dlc or else i'm afraid new vegas is gonna go down as maybe one of the most dissapointing games of 2010.

But...But... Now you're going through all this complex stuff when you can just add that last one.

It was made very clear by the developers that you cannot continue the game after the story ends and that they have no intention of releasing a Broken Steel style DLC before the game was even released. In my own opinion, I think it is a good choice that they made, since that way it gives the things that you did in the game a much deeper and more important feel.

I don't really mind it if they let you continue on Fallout 2 style (you can keep on playing, but everything is non-canon). But I just don't see the point in that.

You don't see the point on playing non-cannon? Have you ever heard of role play?
