In terms of PC hardware what do you consider cheap?

At what price point fo you consider a CPU, MoBo, RAM and Graphics card expensive?

Nvidia GeForce GT480 ($450-500)
Intel i5 750 ($200)
Asus P6 Motherboard ($200)
2GB DDR3 RAM ($50)
Noctua Air Cooler ($50-100)
Antec Case ($120) can't remember exact model #.... :(

Total: $1070-1170

Prices are just estimates, but that would get you 30+ fps at your 1600p resolution.

look at csl-computer (very cheap) or combat ready!
You need a gtx 480 but better would be a gtx460 SLI (same price)
4 GB 1333 RAM and a quad cpu with min. 3ghz

Lol yeah. The one I built for him didn't include a HDD or DVD drives, so the actual price would be around $1300 for a good high end Crysis 2 PC.

In a couple of days I'm going to buy a Intel i7 950 + eVGA X58 Classified + Gskill DDR3 PC 16000 6gb and a WD Velociraptor 300gb for roughly 1000 euros.

"Cheap" ain't it? :D

So do some research. Besides, same time you started this thread, you started another one asking for the cheapest way to watercool a 920@4.00ghz. Methinks you're just intentionally wasting people's time.

You didn't want opinions, "cheapest possible" is hardly an opinion.

And given that a lot of the people answering would likely be pricing through different stores than you, they can't even give you accurate answers.

And if you have a 920 OCed to 4.0, you should have a clue what sort of hardware to get from where.

@JingleHell, if you can't answer his question or if you think he's wasting your time, don't give it to him and don't reply in the thread. All you're doing now is starting fights.

@OP, if you want to run Crysis on VHigh at that res then you buy the most powerful hardware you can afford., focussing on the GPU/s.
