Team Balance

Right... so the question is.... what do they do in campaign VS?

Obviously we've heard they use bot fillers.

But do they then auto-scale bot difficulty to try and balance the match?

Also, after a match, when 1 team completes their objective and the other team fails.... what then?

Each team moves on to the next mission in their Campaign, regardless. Remember, it's 2 DIFFERENT campaigns, not 2 teams fighting on the same campaign.

So the 2 teams split paths and then are rematched according to their new mission? (possibly rematching depending...)

also.... if you fail a mission, shouldn't you redo the mission?

I guess the campaign doesn't work like that exactly....

No, because that creates frustration. By default, you will replay mission you fail, but that's only if you're trying to play it straight through in "proper" order. YOu can easily skil around though if you choose. Like Rahdo said:
"If you fail your mission, you’ll try it again, no matter if you’re playing single player, co-op, or competitive multiplayer. We’re not going to force anyone to play all the missions in order, though. Brink is like a book… when you buy it, we’re not going to try to stop you from turning to the last page and seeing how the story ends. We’ll present it to you in the proper order, but if you want to skip a chapter, or play in any order you like, go right ahead. "

I guess I just need to wait and see how it plays out.

I'm trying to imagine how the MP lobby is going to work with trying to do a campaign....

I can't think of anything that would work smoothly and intuitively that would also not have problems with match making or storyline campaign progression.

I'm mostly worried cause I play on console, and it is becoming a common trend for consoles to have few or no options and to just be shuffled around in games....

god I wish for a server list.

A big reason people choose one side over the other has nothing to do with morals and beliefs, but simply because they like the outfits more, which is pretty pointless, since every character has an outfit for each faction. It's not like if you only play one side, you get double the customization options for that faction.

I agree but players go to great lengths sometimes just to play as a certain character (or faction in this case) purely based on the cosmetic look. My best example for this would be Gears of War multiplayer, people wouldn't choose their team until they were able to play as the "cog" because they don't like the "look" of the locust. Those are just my observations with this.
