Crysis Wars Severe Choppiness

Post » Thu Feb 05, 2009 9:29 am

Aparrently, other people don't get this (The ones I ask in-game) but I find it extremely irritating to play. The game has constant .5ths of a sec. freezes and yesterday I joined this match, all was fine until... 2 FRAMES PER SECOND! I honestly have no clue what's going on and I'd appreciate some assistance :)

The settings aren't the problem, I play on Medium

I'm assuming it was all OK untill recently?
If yes then are you using steam?it might have downloaded some update.
Same goes for any other software.
Might also be a problem with the server.
Or your internet connection

give out some more information,so I can help.

If you have Windows 7, then you will need to run the game in compatibility mode and force DX9.

Also, can you give us your hardware, mainly the Video Card? Can you give average ping, and what version drivers you are using?

Average ping is 50-150 and my drivers are up 2 date. Specs are: Windows 7 64-bit, GTX 260 Core 216, i5 661@ 3.33ghz, 4GB DDR3 RAM, 550W Antec Basiq PSU

BTW: On compat mode, it says
Vista
Vista Service Pack 1
Vista Service Pack 2

I chose the plain Vista.

I don't have to do that so i doubt it's a Win7 compatibility issue. More likely a driver/software issue by the sound of it.
