Does anyone know the required specs to run brink on PC? It's the only thing that's holding me back from pre-ordering the game right now. Also, does anyone know how long the pre-order offers for the Sloani and such lasts?

they said it doesn't need all new pc's, it can run on some older models, but more specifics will be available later
pre-order bonus is available til the game is released i guess

okay, I guess I'll wait for the details to be available. Is there / will there be a beta open for testing? Or a demo version?

I think till release, especially since they haven't advertised the packs as "buy before x to recieve!".



Nothing official, that I know of, has been stated, other than that a beta could be possible.

I emailed Direct2Drive and they told me technically I can preorder the day before it releases and still get the in preorder bonuses. I'm not sure if its the same for Steam but I imagine it would be.

Yea, I really don't think the company would release PC specs just yet. As previous posts said, they have hinted older pc's can run it so dw too much

The specs that have been fairly safely assumed are, for a PC anyway:

A CPU(Central Processing Unit), you'll need some sort of CPU. Without a CPU most, nay, all PCs seem to fail.

RAM( Random Access Memory), you'll also need some RAM. I'm guessing at least 2(two) Gigabytes(GB).

A GPU(Graphics Processing Unit), a video card of some sort. Most likely DirectX 9.0c compatible or later.

These devices are generally used for most software products. I hope this brief piece of tripe has helped you discover what we all know so far, if not then I'm sorry for wasting your time. :hubbahubba:

Yeah sorry, the requirements will probably come much closer to launch.

Requirements are fairly subjective anyway, remember how crysis turned out with it's dual core and 8800gtx requirement....

Even new games like BFBC2....it has a gtx260 recommended, I would have put that down as minimum specs

you can play any game with a 2-3 year old graphics card
just tone done the settings or change resolution
