Do you think I could run some of the settings on high?
I know it will dampen the performance but will it be a huge difference

Thanks by the way

I don't know what monitor your using so I can't recommend any resolution.
But that rig will hold out between medium-high at least.

so it will defiantly run on at least medium?
Because I've been waiting to play Crysis for so long and this has cost me sooo much haha

My insights are saying you will definitely be able to play it at medium for starters. And with a 20" HD (LCD or LED?, both are plausible) maybe a resolution of 1680x1050 or 1920x1080 would be a nice try.

If you want to play it up to high, you're definitely going to need more cooling equipment for the processor and gpu. :)

Drop the I7, get a AMD 1090t, get a Gigabyte 880GM-UD2H, get a 5770 and you should be enjoying Crysis 2 on very high with 30fps in March 2011.

70U1S is right.
Your graphics card is crap.
I think it's a pre-build computer, right?
Why do all people buy pre-build computers.
BUILD ONE YOURSELF! :D

You can't deny this part, building it for yourself is far more fun. Bec. you know what you need and want, without falling prey to crappy in the deal kits.

I think the Ram is a bit overkill. 1333 4gb G-Skill kit will do you well.

I bet i can play it on very high ( at least this mode isnt Dx11 exclusive) with my Q9650 and my Gtx 280.
Even a heavily modded Crysis is no problem for my rig.

So in fact youre better up with a cheap Gtx 260/275 because no matter if Dx11 or not,,your card is one way or the other too weak to run C2 in Dx11 mode.

I still recommend getting a 1090t. The 1090t has better technology than the Core 2 Quad, plus it takes the advantage of six cores which some games will be incorporating in the future.

Amd over Intel, a bit risky...

Unless Intel I7 prices go down there really isn't any reason to go for a 1090t over the low range I7 models.
