I agree with the above poster. The noobs are people who think they are pros, but in fact stink at the game and prefer to point the finger at certain weapons, abilities and/or tactics. They will never accept the fact that they just aren't good at the particular game and get some sort of lame sense of perceived self gratification in putting up rage posts on message boards looking for other noobs to co-sign on their rants so they can keep convincing themselves that it's not their fault that they keep getting slammed online.

Eg: You've probably been getting your @s$ handed to you online from players using Armor Enhance so you decided to start this topic in attempt to find other like minded individuals to provide yourself with some false sense of relief regarding your noobness.

Good players adapt to their opponents style of play in attempt to achieve victory. Bad players are one dimensional and a dime a dozen.

Have a nice day "bro".

Bit harsh on the OP there Jymbo. Your opinion is fine, but reading all that into his simple question? Hate much?

OT though. If it's there use it. It's for players, if you want to name them pros they would have to get paid for it though. So wait and see if there are any MLG Cyrsis2 tournies and ask the winners :)

I think the term noob has lost any real bite over the years anyway. It' more of a generic insult that only half works. Like calling white people crackers. :)

It's an unlockable module, everyone gets unlock points based on performance in the game, use them wisely. I don't pay attention to the kill cam to know if someone is actually using Armor Enhance when they kill me. Focus on using the nanosuit to fit your style of play and you'll be fine.

Armor Enhance is for anyone that wants to use it, just like all the other items in the game. Enjoy.

The OP only asked a question, just answer or leave him alone. I strongly doubt you know anyone on this forum to assign us some hilarious psychological evaluations.

Competitive FPS games are supposed to be the top games based on reflex, aiming skill and teamplay. When you are shot in the back in a game like Crysis 2, you should be supposed to turn and fire back at your agressor, but if you are critically wounded and that guy also have the Armor activated... how fair can that be?

From my observation, the invisible camo is far more interesting than the Armor. It's more challenging and gives the opportunity to perform various strategies while the armor just create random encounters, doesn't had much depth to the game and basically breaks the weapon balance that was initally well done.

Stealth = Pro
Armor = Noob

If there was a gametype without the armor ability, I'm really convinced it would be more fun, more balanced and less chaotic.

You can't call either pro or noob. As it was said before, there are no "pro" Crysis 2 players. Also, to call the other noob will just ensue a round robin of stealth is noob because X and armor is noob because Y. I'm sure we would eventually go to roman numerals with that arguement. Every single mode and module in the game can be countered by another or tactics "."

I will say, that if Crysis 2 does become a pro game. I'm sure the pros will be using the most effective mode and mods to fit their playstyle. Not because they look "cooler" using it.

I use it alot. It really doesnt give you that much of an advantage but it does help a little. I don't think anything is really noobish other than second chance from another game that I refuse to admit exists now.

If a game gives you something to use, use it.

If someone calls you a noob for using something in the game, ignore them and just play.

Who's the one that looks like the noob? The one who refuses to use a valid option in the game and loses, or the one who uses everything at their disposal to win?

This of course, is in the absence of any game-breaking bugs and imbalances.

well my opinion is people use it how they want like i was stuck on the last level because those cloaking aliens kept killing me so what i would do was use the armor thing nd melee the crap out of each one until they were dead and i did this on soulder not recruit

You did mention team play. The person shooting you in the back was close enough to his teammate to get a revenge kill. It has nothing to do with Armor Enhance either. Whether it's on or off -you're screwed in that scenario unless you have host then it might be possible for you to turn around and kill the other player because his bullets may not have registered due to the sketchy net code of this game.

Depends on the game mode mainly. Armor enhance once upgraded turns you into a walking tank, so on game modes like Crash Site, where defense is important, having a class with armor enhance is really really helpful. For straight up Instant Action or Team Instant Action, I personally find playing a stealth build is way more effective. Walking around in Armor mode generally gets you shot in the back by the players running around in stealth.

Once you hit your mid-20's in rank you'll have plenty of options to play with, so try them out and see what you like.

Personally though, 95% of the time I use Energy Transfer. Getting a kill and immediately having full energy again is really really nice.
