Speedster module setup

Post » Sat Feb 28, 2009 10:27 am

Hey guys, I've been experimenting with some module setups and found one that is pretty entertaining to use.

The general premise behind this build is to always be on the move and get strategical flanks on the enemies.

The modules should be Energy Transfer, Stealth Enhance and Mobility Enhance. Feline with no mods (to maintain highest speed) and pistol / grenade slot doesn't matter too much.

To check out what it can do, Please take a loot at this video:

I will have a few more videos up with this playstyle before moving on to other setups!

Enjoy =)

I use it already.

All of the modules are now maxed so I use less energy when running and in stealth, I'm faster out of sprinting into shooting and when I do kill an enemy I get full energy to drop back into stealth. Throw a silenced SCARAB into the mix and you will dominate if used correctly.

With this I can 'hit and run' groups of enemies head on and make cover instantly spreading confusion. It is as awesome as it sounds and a lot of fun. It also is the major contributor to my 3.00 KDR and the fact I can do 20/x every single round. Apologies if it sounds like a boast, but it really is very effective.

I play this combination, too.
Switched from Armor - Stealth - Fast Fire to this...

Sometimes a feel a little underpowered against people with Armor Upgrade but ... 20/x is everytime possible

These are the three modules I use as well. The fact that stealth/sprint is so cheap means I can also run nanovision 100% of the time. When I'm knee deep in enemy territory, I can stay stealthed, zip around their entire team and kill guys without them knowing. Honestly, against the majority of scrubs who don't even know about nanovision, it's basically a free win. I really don't think there's a better setup out there that will net you as many kills as this one. Let's face it. Camping around is basically going to get you killed. Stealth kills that sort of gameplay.

Basic gameplay with this setup is:
Stealth/sprint/nanovision to the nearest enemy.
When you find someone, unstealth, kill, stealth. You're at full energy, so reload if need be and get ready to kill again.
If you run out of energy (very rarely), shut down everything BEFORE you hit 0 energy to recharge.

Pretty much any close quarters guns works with this setup. I love using the single shot jackal with this, as well as the feline. I've been trying out the scarab, but it doesn't do nearly enough damage as I'd like. Even so, I still net MVP easy with pretty much any gun in this setup. I've been limiting myself to secondaries some games as well just to get those attachments, and it's just so easy to screw around with it. I daresay that this setup is the most OP setup in the game.

Fun fact: Gunship kills and orbital strike kills give you energy.

I use the same setup with a silenced Marshall and a Majestic for back up. Very very easy to rack up huge numbers of kills with this module setup, really doesn't come into it's own until you get all 3 modules to level 3 though.

my favorites are:

SCAR/Grendel with max armor, surpressed footsteps and weapons pro. this way, you can walk around and shoot what you see. tanking is how it's done, hitting Q is crucial (it's such a reflex of mine, i sometimes deactivate it when i see a second enemy. i just hit Q and i'm like "crap")

SCAR (it just owns) / DSG-1. Armor (never gets old), cloak enhance, weapons pro. THE loadout for Lighthouse.

You're right, it is a really good setup. I just put up a video where I go 46-4 with this speedster build.

Once you hit level 3 on all of the modules, you can basically be stealth and run forever. If you combine this with the Jackal, it's a lethal combination (as long as your ping is efficient). In my video, there are multiple times when a guy is in armor mode and gets killed in one shot. I think everyone here has the right idea. It's a hit and run tactic. You'll rarely lose energy if you can time your stealth after killing someone. The Feline works just as well. I put a silencer on mine, since I don't mind or really notice the speed decrease. A shotgun allows you to pick up your dog tags almost instantly though, since you're so close to the body as it is. It's almost like having the retriever module on.
