Post » Mon Mar 02, 2009 5:54 am

I honestly have the hardest time seeing people in camo you can put a one guy in camo and put him right up to my my face and its still hard for me to see him. anyone else having this problem i think they should tune down cloak just a tiny bit or make them more visible when moving cause i honestly i can't see them when there right in front of me.

Its a cloak for a reason so that you can't see them but use the cloak tracker and level it up then u will have the maximum visibility of a cloaked opponent

It's easier to see them when they are moving, however, it does take it's toll on your eyes though. Because cloaking is a core function of the game it's pretty much spammed throughout the match. I think it messes with the balance of the game, particularly with weapons that should be useful from long range like sniper rifles or the grendel, but since most people run around cloaked and you don't discover them until they are nearby .... the game is limited to close to mid range encounters making those mentioned weapons useless.

Sniping a cloaked player is an instant kill 99% of the time, so learning what to look for is important. Not particularly easy though, takes some practice.

A good pointer for you snipers though, get stealth enhance and use it religiously. Unless you're firing at someone you should be cloaked, and don't forget to turn off cloak before you start shooting.

Edit: this is where having a high vantage point is really important, because unless they are using stealth enhance themselves, they'll cast a shadow, which is really easy to spot.

Proxy Alarm.
Nanovision.
Cloak Tracker.
YOUR EYES.

How many counters do you need? If you hate the Nanosuit, then Crysis isn't for you. Go play Classic.

Well the nanovision never actually views the people who are cloaked (unless I am just using it wrong).

But, the point is is that you shouldn't have to level your stealth to a 6, then unlock it, then level that up in order to compete with the cloaking. I have a 46" top of the line Panasonic Plasma TV and I cannot see the cloaked enemies. They have the upper hand 75% of the time.

I agree... The cloaking needs to nerfed, badly because of the kids who spam it on a regular basis.

I have no problems seeing Cloaked enemies, and I am level 9 thus far. I find Armor quite a bit more useful actually.

ehhhh are you serious? The cell when cloaked give off a slight brown outline and the marines give off a slight blue outline, they actually made the cloak easier to spot because people cried about it because they cant be bothered to use the appropriatte cloak combatting modules.

why are people complaining about the cloak? that's just messed up, I'm no expert in the whole invisibility thing but i'm pretty sure the idea is to be able to walk around...well invisible. For snipers you just gotta be patient, its kind of a trade off, stay a long way away and reduce the risk of dying but see less people. Or you can bomb around with a shotty, find lots of people and risk dying.
