im not gonna lie it was pretty tough. I choose boone because hes a trooper and a survivor. I choose rex because hes a awsome dogs and i love dogs :thumbsup: . I also like raul also hes pretty good and arcade but he always steels my kills with his plasma defender <_<

I voted Arcade Gannon, with Raul Tejada coming in at a close second (i'd hate to have to live off the difference)

IMO: Rex is the best companion

For me it's Cassidy her of rosy cheeks and red hair.

Plus Toto Rex is a must in OZ NV.

Are we talking combat or story/chr. here? Tho I guess it doesn't matter since for me it'd be Craigy for both.

But in terms of combat, really, all the human companions are good with certain gear and certain playstyles, and they can all svck with certain gear and for certain playstyles.

Rex & EDE are kind of equal, imo, but I chose EDE-E because of his perk and less tendency to go nuts.

he can also raise your perception incredably high so you can see like any enemy

I chose Boone and Rex. Boone is just a badass. And Rex is a freakin' Cyberdog! How could you not want a Cyberdog?

Dogmeat + Rex = Good times.

Rex
He's sweet, but if i want to have a animal as companion, I want a real ^^

I don't always use companions, but when I do... I prefer Dos Equis... Oh, I mean Boone :unsure2:

I've traveled with all of the companions and Boone is, by far, the best one. He can spot a target a mile away and take them out before you even know they're there, plus he can take a lot of hits and is an overall BAMF. The best non-human companion is ED-E. I upgraded his weapons and he can take people out pretty quickly now.

Boone because he fits my style as a sniper, hes a bad-ass, and because he act exactly like my dad, and ED-E because his perk is just fantastic for me and Boone.

I chose Craigy Boone (lol) and ED-E and I think I have a few posts around here saying it too. I feel like their Perks are my own after 4 games with them and would miss them terribly if they weren't along. I can get them early on and build from there.

Next would be Arcade, then Raul and then Cass. Arcade is perfection on EW; Raul can handle any weapon I give him and Sassy Cass just loves that Riot Shotgun.

I had a few problems with Lily, Rex and Veronica but will travel with them again to have a more complete experience. Veronica was very good and I liked her a lot but she got in the way a lot on her preferred way of fighting.

Yeah. I bet she's rambling about how young people doesn't know how to pick companions. Lol.

Well, the problem with Lily is that in a way she makes the game humoristical. You see this big tall muscolar blue giant, but said giant wears cute feminine clothes and talks like an old woman. It kinda seems like a comedy sketch, or a Wild Wasteland Perk event. Therefore, no one would want to keep her along during the game, as she spoils the atmosphere.

I'm not really fond of any of the New Vegas companions, so I don't know who to vote. I liked Butch DeLoria and Charon, in Fallout 3, so much more.
As for New Vegas, I'd have liked Benny or Victor... or perhaps Yes Man... as potential companions.

So is Veronica, but I see that you left that part of it out. I am curious to know why. :ermm:

All the homosixual companions are the best I find Arcade + Veronica all day.

And Rex over ED-E because ED-E is only a robot, while Rex is a dog-robot.

Ahhh, I'm the only one who voted for Lily

But of all time it'd have to be Charon, I really wish fo3 had fnvs companion quests, I really wanted to find out about him.

Veronica and ED-E. ED-E with the weapon's upgrade is deadly at range and close. Veronica excels in close quarters. They compliment my tendency to kill at range. Inside a vault, Veronica is a killing machine.

Although Boone's special perk goes very well with ED-E's special perk.

DoGod is just too awesome, great dialogue and awesome in battle, wish we could take him with us to the wasteland as The Merge, of course, he'd be a new personality by then.

If going by vanilla companions then Raul.
He's really funny, has great backstory, awesome in combat and sports a mean sombrero.

I'm still pretty early on in the game, but I really don't want to let go of Boone. He's just a killing machine.
