Yea the thing is i'm on the move quite a lot, otherwise I would definitely be buying a desktop

I'm not too bothered about highest spec, as long I can run the game pretty smoothly and it looks pretty ( and lets be honest Crysis looks pretty on average graphics :D ).

Go for a laptop if you don't mind playing Crysis on low-medium.

You can definitely game on a laptop, these guys don't know what they are talking about. But that one your talking about has kinda a mid range graphics card which will slow you down. You definetly need the best card you can get on laptop to play what ever you want. A lot of rigs are using the radeon 5870 which is super powerful and pretty cheap. I got an ASUS G73jh and it burns through anything I throw at it. Super cheap for the power. Try to get at least 4 gig ram and directx 11.

You could try for an alienware. They have awesome specs and quality and everything but they are quite expensive...

Like Enfadel said go for the Asus G73jh laptop but I would suggest getting the top one which is the G73jh-a1. This is the specs below and you can find it online for around $1600 US but it is well worth the money half of what other laptop makers are charging for the same specs.

# Processor & Cache Memory: 1.6GHz with Turbo Boost up to 2.8GHz Intel? Core? i7-720QM
# Operating System: Genuine Windows? 7 Home Premium 64-bit
# Main Memory: 8GB DDR3 1066MHz (8GB Maximum)
# Display: 17.3" Full HD (1920x1080)
# Video Graphics & Memory: ATI Mobility? Radeon? HD 5870, 1GB GDDR5 VRAM
# Hard Drive: Dual 500GB 5400 rpm (1TB Total)
# Blu-Ray DVD Combo

There are more specs but this will give you an idea.
Plus it comes with a 2 yr warranty and a 1yr accidental warranty, no one else even comes close to that kind of warranty.

Dacajun .its a very good laptop .i think i got a friend that have the same some week ago tbh .But if u look up the spec fort the 5870 itself ont the laptob that its calles mobility 5870 .u can compare it to a 5770 desktop model its exactly the same . And i hade a 5770 .well i hade 2 of them before i got my 5870 .. Huge difference .. And i suerly tested the card on crysis .and for me to get 40-60 fps is when i played on medium vith no AA .. But what i have read aboute crysis 2 its better optimized then crysis 1 so sure it whould do just fine ... But just think before u buy a laptop .

Hi LoungeDude, I have this very laptop 5739g. It is good for gaming on medium settings Crysis 1 and wars but you'd have no chance running
on full. It runs older games ok and l4d2 great. I'm even on with building a new pc for a few new releases coming out so I can crank up the games, I'm also considering jumping on the 3d bandwagon if it's any good. The laptop is great for my needs at the moment and good for video editing, I did look into the possibility of upgrading the gfx in the future, but it just wouldn't be worth the cost.

I'd take a Toshiba satellite if you were on a budget, or if price is no prob. get an alienware. It depends on your choice,.

Please don't get an Alienware. They are sooo over priced and notebooks manufactured by Clevo are exactly the same but so much cheaper. If other laptop gamers see you with an alienware, it instantly labels you a tool. your paying 25% more for lit up alien heads. Sorry, but i was thinking of getting one, but they just depend on you not doing enough research to know otherwise.

Well if you really wanna a Gaming laptop i Would suggest a Origin Eon
Check the Eon 17 http://originpc.com/eon17-gaming-laptop-features.asp
This company was founded by the old owners of Alienware before dell bought it and ruined it.

The origin Eon 17 can come with a core i7 980x, 2x GTX 480M (2gb of video ram each) 24gb of DDR3 1600mhz ram and much more, if you don't have a whole lot of money to blow you can buy cheaper parts, it worth a check

@Daniel.Klein, That laptop is a monster. He wouldn't need a new laptop for 7 years with that thing, even the base model is light years better then an Alienware. Price is "ok" for that kind of performance starting at 2500 usd. That would probably run Crysis 3 and 4 on enthusiast if it were fully maxed out. Also, I would always call the manufacturer when you place an order an ask if they have any specials and if they don't they will usually make one up to get you to buy. Alienware offered $800 off their $3500 model when i called. I refused (I only had 2000 to spend, and got an equal ASUS model for $1650) but it was a nice offer.

Your Laptop will sure run Crysis 2, not on MAX setting but maybe on medium settings, Crytek said that they would make Crysis 2 more Low end PCs Friendly and still have features and settings that take advantage of High end PCs

But, an alienware with alterations by a veteran user is far more better than paying for the whole set at such a price. It's a matter of choice and taste.

Not everyone knows a lot about inner laptop workings, an alienware is just one of many gaming laptops.

Just giving my input on this.
The laptop you are going to buy is actually extremely outdated. The processor is 2 and half years old and the graphics card doesn't win any contests either.
IMO don't get a gaming laptop. Most laptops look fancy and seem awesome (I.E. Alienware m11x) but have really bad specs. Something from like Asus or Acer is fine
A decent i5 proccesor (i5 500+) with ATI Radeon 5750 graphics card or higher would be fine to run Crysis 2 close to max.
That'll cost around 900$ though.
Here is a good place to find more info. http://www.cpubenchmark.net/
This is also a great place to make purely custom laptops/Desktops
http://www.ibuypower.com/ Most of the time they won't rip you off.

My 2 cents.
