For all of you complaining about cloak!

Post » Mon Mar 09, 2009 4:25 pm

Seriously all of you shut the f*** up and stop complaining. It's not one sided if you are allowed to use cloak as well, and you can still see them when they are cloaked. So please shut up, they will not listen to your stupid suggestions about the cloak in mp.

Sorry for the rant I'm just fed up!

dude question, what is nano **** something, you know the heat sensor when you press down on the d-pad.does it even help detecting enemies from afar or when they're cloaked? it's kinda useless.hahaha

There is no point to it. There is a gamemode option after you level up some with no nanosuit so if they want to bich they can go there and problem solved.

i want that classic mode but its unlocked level 28, which is a bit too high cause im just sick of the stealth noobs. u guys r probably gonna criticize me but thats prob cause u guys r the noobs urselves because stealth is plain stupid. cant wait to go into classic mode and destroy every1. if there was no stealth in general, i would demolish all of u, easily.

watever. go in ur stealth. i honestly dont care anymore....
i was hoping this game would be "MLG Accepted" so i could do some competitive gaming for this......

Complaining about universally accessible options has become quite the trend around here, huh?

Apparently haha. People complain because they don't know how to use it themselves. I've only been killed once by a stealth camper. I say, if you're as good as you say you will check corners and not let pathetic noobs demolish you hahahahhahaha! Right?!

Not to mention that some players aren't even aware of how to counter cloakers. It's been discussed many times on these boards, but I'll list a few option aside from using the naked eye to watch for shimmers in the environment.

- Proximity alarm (as soon as you see red bars rise, turn on your own cloak and take a look around)
- Tracker (follow the footsteps)
- Nano-vision (look for body heat, and don't confuse dead bodies or friendlies for the enemy)
- Maximum radar (self-explanatory unless if the enemy has Blind Spot)

If cloakers are a problem, then equip yourself with a Jackal or Feline and activate armor mode once your proximity alarm goes off. They may get the first shot on you, but you'll always have a fighting chance. You know how people complain about that one guy who they shot in the back and he just turns around and smoke 'em? That guy will be you.

I hated the cloak at first but after I started playing the game more the cloaked guys started to stick out to me more. You just got to get used to the game. Cloaked guys are at a huge disadvantage anyways...

^ especially if you get the jump on them. They'll lose all their energy right away and will pretty much be sitting ducks.

Here's the thing. I think the cloak takes such abuse right now because of the lag. So many are seconds behind. You state you can see cloaked people. Well not when your seconds behind, when they’re running around close by you, you’ll never catch them. At first I had issues with the cloak. I really don’t anymore. It doesn’t bother me. I know its just the lag, not the function of the suit. People are just directing their frustration in the wrong direction.

Now obviously there is something wrong with the matchmaking system. There is no reason why every single lobby I’m in should have only the host full bars. And everyone else with 1 or 2 bars. Usually there will be 1 or 2 people with a 3 bar. Every single lobby. Obviously the matchmaking system is not correctly putting together people. I’m do not know why, I’m sure it can be addressed in due time.

I understand Host advantage Obviously they will always have the better connection with P2P. It understandable and I can tolerate it. The real issue is when the matchmaking system is not functioning correctly the host advantage is just magnified. I’m not really sure why It doesn’t choose me as host all the time as every other p2p game does. I’ve noticed though as I fight to stay even with my 2 bars I usually have in all my games, it’s a pain, yet the second I’m host I’m going 40 plus kill with less than 5 deaths. There is something seriously wrong with the matchmaking. I just wish people would realize this. You can’t see a cloaked person when your 3 seconds behind what is really going on. And even if you do your not even close to hitting him as he’s probably stealth and sprinting around flanking you.

I really think that the campaign was epic, loved it, I could point out little flaws here and there but overall was excellent in my opinion. Just wish the multiplayer could live up to standards set by the campaign. I really see it becoming much better once they sort out the matchmaking. Really though its like it takes a host from us and puts nothing but Japan people in the lobby or vise versa. I don’t know though but every lobby shouldn’t be the same with only the host being full.

EDIT* In my first 6 hours played I had 5 American dog tags collected, so does that mean I'm not getting any American’s in my lobbies? Living in Arizona In the U.S I don’t see why I shouldn’t have hundreds of them. Unless it putting me in lobbies across the globe for no apparent reason… just to give me two bars. I think many are having this issue

The thing that kills me is the fact that even if someone is cloaked, they don't stay cloaked the entire time they're shooting. They can get off one shot/grenade/melee before their cloak goes away. Yes, you can see them when they're cloaked, and you also have the ability of going cloaked.

It was put in the game for a reason, and I'm pretty sure nobody at Crytek said, "Let's put this in the game so people will constantly whine!" and then slapped hands with somebody else.

I'd suggest that you get over it, because no matter what is said, people are going to be cloaked in every, single game that you play. There is no point in whining over it, because it's apart of the game, and it isn't going away.

Personally, I use the cloak to navigate the map, so for all of you morons out there saying that people use the cloak to camp. Guess what? You're retarded.

You know what's funny? I've seen complaints about too much cloaking. I've seen complaints about armor duration. I've even watched a Youtube video where someone complained that the SCAR was overpowered. Another user said the Feline was overpowered. There was another thread around here begging Crytek to make the snipers OHK. I'm honestly hope Crytek ignores these complaints or at least take them with little consideration. Otherwise, we'll end up with another generic shooter.
