Multiplayer is a joke.

No Dedicated Servers.

Pistols outpower Assault Rifles at Medium Range.

Shotgun killed me from medium-long range after 3 shots.

Heavy Machine Gun is just as accurate as Assault Rifle but is 1 hit kill.

Melee is doesn't hit when standing right next to someone - then in the next game hits when you're not even looking at someone.

Firing at long ranges is hopeless, even if firing 1 bullet at a time, unless you have a sniper rifle.

"Grendel" takes about twice as long as the Scar to kill someone because of the extremely long pause between bursts.

"Proximity Alarm" is pretty much useless - only works if enemies are on the same level as you, no indication of how big of an AoE it is - fairly short (10m) by the looks of it - by which distance you'll die.

"Cloak Tracker" doesn't seem to work.

Exp is extremely slow to gather - played 4 hours, only Level 14 - which is over average according to the leaderboards, only 2 people around me levelling quicker.

Game modes take extremely long to unlock - highest I've seen so far is Rank 38.

Constantly getting disconnected from whoever rolled host - even after putting my computers Ethernet into the PS3.

Certain maps are sniper heavens - can barely walk 5m without getting sniped if I don't use cloak.

Aim Assist is extremely OTT - someone shoots 1m away from me and hits.

Many objects with gaps between it and the concrete can't be shot through.

NAT type stuck on Moderate.

Constantly being thrown in lobbies with 1 person - or being thrown in a lobby I just left.

Team Balancing is broken - 2 v 5 often happens - unbalanced levels on either side happens also, even in Solo (so no squads)

Bloom is over on certain maps - can barely see down my sight at times - can barely see the scores or kills very often.

Did I mention no dedicated servers yet?

Sorry Mark, I hate that you're having a bad experience but so far this to me, this is one of the best MP games I've ever played (and I've played just about all of them)

Have to agree with TMAZT3R, and one more thing its a fresh game they will work things out with patches/updates and you and like 100 more people are complaining like this game was 8 months old.

See on the battlefield!

"ONLY" level 14? it does get better, trust me. I went from 19 to 22 in four matches, yes FOUR. my weapons and attachment upgrades all hit the 5000 XP mark around that time. the longest time for leveling up for me was from 26 to 27. took 2 and half hours.

so, stop whining and just play. no game is perfect and by the sounds of it, you sure as **** aren't.

you need to stop complaining on here and play. pay attention to the maps, pay attention where the enemy heavy traffic is coming and going from on each map. find a weapon that works for your style of playing and go with it. I highly suggest the Feline with a silencer and extended mags. add on the enhancement of rapid fire and you are GOLDEN.

you will lay waste to countless enemies.

As far as I can tell on killcams it is - maybe it's lag, but yeah.

I do think a number of issues I posted come down to lag - but I highly doubt that they will give us dedicated servers.

Edit: for the shotgun if you didnt know a real shotgun could easily go over 50meters without slugs.

Well no @£!# sherlock. Did you know in real life you don't regenerate health either? And that you can't turn invisible?

Crysis 2 European Release Date: 25th March 2011
Todays Date: 25th March 2011

I think I was playing a fairly new game, I mean it's not even 21 hours old here :) - and very mature that due to the fact I have issues with this game, you assume that I "svck" at it. Don't worry Crytek - you'll have to go some distance to pass the hundreds of issues I have with Call of Duty.

Sorry Mark, I hate that you're having a bad experience but so far this to me, this is one of the best MP games I've ever played (and I've played just about all of them

I totally agree - it is one of the best multiplayer FPS I've played this generation - if we're only counting competitive multiplayer it's definitely up there with my personal favourite of MAG, just a few issues - mostly that of no dedicated servers, which completely and utterly destroys any multiplayer experience for me.

To be fair on them - it is a new game - it hasn't had a feedback patch yet - and for a new MP game, it's got nowhere near as many issues as most do - atleast it works for example, unlike Homefront which just crashes my PS3 when trying to play online.

I can think up many positives for the game - I love the dog tag system for example - hugely discourages sniping, something I hate in all FPS games.

Sorry for the long reply - just felt I should explain where I stand, as I've said a few times - It's by no means a bad game, but it's got tonnes of waste potential. I also dislike support developers who make multiplayer games - then don't supply them with dedicated servers, as then the multiplayer largely comes down to whoever rolls host, or is on the hosts team.

Joke maybe a bit of an over-reaction to a string of lag-filled games - but if Crysis 2 was a single joke, then the likes of KZ3s, CoDs, and HFs multiplayer, are all comedy clubs.

Experience really doesn't take long to gather, I have played maybe 1 hour 45 mins, and am level 15. Although I haven't played since the first day I got the game because of bad connections/being out of town for the weekend.

only real module i dislike is the air stomp i dont know if the upgraded lvls of it are better

Well... i have no complaints in this game.
As for melee issues, well think of it this way, you're punching a guy/hitting him with the butt of your rifle... you're not swiping a knife (as in CoD) so you have to aim your punches too... yeah, it takes getting used to, but I've gotten multikills when overwhelmed and went on a melee rampage lol.

As for accuravy issues. it gets technical. Call of Duty uses "hitscans" for their bullets, Crysis uses projectiles (like battlefield). Which means that your bullets actually have to travel the distance before it makes impact with your target. Whereas in Call of Duty a hitscan makes instant and immediate impact on its target. Which is why quickscoping is actually possible in MW2 and Black Ops (yeah, its still possible on Black Ops.

It all takes getting used to

Personally im in favor of the projectile system, feels more real (even though it still IS a videogame) and adds a bit more fun and strategy to how i shoot people

It takes getting used to, its more of a direct attack as opposed to an area attack. So for it to be effective your enemy shouldn't be more than 3 meters away from you to actually die from the attack.

And even your enemy in front of you by the time you get up from the attack, you shouldn't complain because he probably wasn't close enough to die from it when you impacted the ground.

actually there is 5 prestiges and on the weapons note, the shotgun is pants at medium range let alone long, its also really hard to get pistol kills so, so IMHO you need to practice more
