To the Big Guys in soft comfortable computer chairs....

I have been a fan of Crysis franchise since the demo of the first game for PC. I purchased Crysis 2 and I think it's great and I have no rants and raves or any real issues. But however I did notice a very small detail that may have been missed or maybe left in the game all together. My concern is when you use your stealth module on your nano suit yeah you are invisible to your enemies but I noticed you can still see your shadow while in stealth. So I can spot stealth players easily due to the shadow the players character makes. I'm wondering is that intentional, overlooked or something that was unavoidable?

Well you got to think, your suit doesnt make you clear, so your still retain your mass, which would still block sunlight.

actually if you use the stealth enhance module and you get it upgraded to level 2 you will no longer cast a shadow when you are cloaked.

Not from what I remember years ago when Japan was researching stuff like this and other stuff. Technically you're using 'mirrors' that reflect throw & back. So your mass doesn't have anything to do with that. So technically, you are wrong.

I may be wrong but I'm a lot more sure than not.

lol, we'd have to ask the nanosuit. When I saw the shadows, I thought, "cool, that's realistic."
If the suit is essentially becoming an LCD screen, it would, in fact, still cast a shadow.
There has been some R&D into cloaking tech that would "bend" light around the object like water distorts and image. If I understand it correctly though, even that tech would cause a shadow.

umm...there is a stealth module that makes so your shadow isnt visible...people need to play the game more before posting and saying things like this...they can't make you completely invisible...come on now...play the game and unlock things

I thought it was great when I saw my own shadow! I got killed and I knew that they saw it too, but I'm ok with that. Big-ups to all the developers for this amazing, amazing game. It is one of the best gaming experiences that I have had in soooo long, and it only gets better as you get up to higher levels. The only things that I have to complain about get far overshadowed by the things in the game that I find stunning, so I have nothing. See you on the streets. Look for the shadows. They bite.
