Take a Break from the Tension and check this out folks

Post » Mon Mar 30, 2009 10:44 am

Ok so its been a tad ( on edge ) at times in here, quite a few folks unhappy about variouse things, despite the hard work put in by all the Crytek folks, so I suggest if you can.

go to Medal Of Honour homepage, and download the Open Beta that starts 4th October, and runs for 4 Days, you might get to kill someone that upset you even, of course in the most light harted true spirit of gaming, and at the same time brush up some skill, its only a suggestion to those who can indulge, :-)

Maybe old news to some but I dont recollect it being mentioned in here, and I thought some players in here might just find this a refreshing change and chance to wind down a bit.

I just wanted to say that I guess as its set to run for only 4 days, and finishes on the 7th, then I assume it will be live from midnight on the 3rd 4th, dont be late folks its only a short run.

Im all setup ready to log in, I hope you all enjoy the break.

Guss, :-)

Does anyone have any other cool information to add that will distract the "I didn't get the Xbox 360 Crysis 2 MP Tech Test email" whiners?

I heard that the game has severe weapon texturing issues on a Nvidia GeForce GTX480 (completely white weapons), which makes the game unplayable. Pretty much a bust of $50 - 60. I played the original closed beta over the summer and was unimpressed with how badly DICE supported it.

Hi All.

So having doner the Summer Beta, and the recent 4 day Server test of this game I decided to go with the Tier i edition, (i think that was a sure thing anyway lol) did any of you go and get this game.

I am not dissapointed, i love it, I didnt bother with the single player yet but will, im just having way too much fun on the multi play maps, the weapons damage is thorough and its pretty hard to get a reasonable scorechain unless like many have, you use some kind of cheat.

Yes its rife with cheats, and you frequently see Punkbuster rolling out yet another player, well at least that is working and the gamplay is fun and challenging, though it will never outrank Crysis 2, IMHO it is a good fill in along the way,

So i'm continuing this posts to get feedback on MoH, to continue the destraction.
So come on guys whose in the loop??

MoH was seen as a failure to most. :) I think that DICE removed too many of the features from the frostbite engine while making MoH. All I was looking for in MoH was a Bad Company 2 style gameplay with smaller arena type maps and gamemodes. However, that was not the case. Instead it seemed that DICE got lazy and took many of the assets from BC2 and simply copied it over to MoH, like the reloading animations and some of the sounds.

I think MoH was only ever designed to be a cut-down, streamlined and pace-increased version of BC2, which is pretty much what it turned out as.

They had a great platform which could easily be stripped down and sped up in order to compete with the likes of Modern Warfare.

I personally prefer more features and slower pace as per BC2 but there's another huge, competitive market as seen in the Modern Warfare-esque scene.

Well guys, so not too popular eh?

I'll stand by it though, the thing is, i suppose ya can only do so much with a war game, like give the player a gun and an arena, then throw in a coupla enemy's, you then got a war.

I agree with some of your comments, but as has been said, it is at a different pace, so....

Yes i do prefer BFBC 2 I spend hours there, but for the change and as I have said many times, all these other games will never match up to the Crysis series, but with the long wait ahead, hell guys I'll play any dang game to fill in lmao.

Y'all keep smiling now.

I was also an early beta tester for Medal of Honor and DICE did not listen to much of the feedback we gave, nor did they even bother to update the client version of the game once. I completely understand glitches, but when the company is too laxidasicle to bother fixing them, I quickly cut off interest with that game.

Would have done the same for others.

I was wondering, why does the engines have to different for both SP and MP?

Couldn't they have just used the same engine throughout? The gameplay will look completely the same, and at least, no interference from other developers, so they can make a completely new experience.

I think it was a bad idea giving DICE the opportunity to develop the MP component. Reason being it's not their game, even if they're great at making MP, they should be working on their own IP's, not some others.

for some obscure reason, they decided that they would just take the feedback without updates during the first Beta, then apply all they had learned from that Beta after the fact.

Must admit I was also very confused by that approach also but saw it through to the end, most of the issues have been resolved but it will need patches soon, never heard of that approach b4 lol, but anyway, i keep on popping my head through the door sometimes only to get it shot lmao.
