Is there anyway to rebind the number 2 button, i use a different key for ammo change and want to use number 2 button to something else.

Well, it's hard-coded, so the quick answer is no. Can't even change it via mod I think.

You can rebind the hotkeys via a "quick & dirty" change of the .ini file I believe. I don't know that method or how reliable/non-glitchy it is...I'm sure a Google search will find it somewhere. (edit) I'm not even sure (don't recall/never tried) if you can actually use the 2 key or if it's just being able to rebind change ammo to another key.

It is not possible to change it in the .ini, and i think it is as you say....it's hard coded.

It's a wee bit annoying Would've preferred to have it on the mouse wheel.

(I'd just like to whine that the 60 sec. spam-prevention-delay-timer is a bit too long for my typing speed, haha)


Did you already try it and it didn't work? Like I said, I never tried...I don't really mind the key. A little annoying but I became used to it.

I tried rebinding it through the ini file, but it doesn't seem possible to turn the 2 key into a hotkey.

Edit: I just had a look at that quickfix... so it seems that you can use the 2 key with that method, but you still are short by one hotkey... I may try that, as I would prefer to give up the 8 key than the 2 key.

Yes that you can change the key 2 to be 8 and 8 to be 2 in the .ini it works, but that is not what i am after...i want to make a hot key of number 2 but it is not possible it looks like.
