Two Biggest PIA's To Avoid in Future Games

There are mods to help w/ these issues on PC. Unfortunately, they shouldn't have been necessary in the first place and do nothing to help console players.

For better fast travel markers, I've been using this mod: http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=35467

I haven't tried this one, but it's supposed to remove a lot of those invisible barriers: http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=35011

Being lazy, I like having Fast Travel....I remember Morrowind and after a while all that walking was really annoying.

But I think they did over-do it on where you could FT to. Considering how many "locations" there are, they could have limited FT to only certain ones. Thus you could still FT to Novac and GoodSprings, say, but not to GoodSprings Source & Old Gibson's junkyard (I mean, come on, that's like 5-8 seconds of walking). That sort of thing.

I don't mind the invisible walls and I'd agree more with the bad shooter mechanics instead...if you're going to offer a 1st person shooter like combat, do it properly. Aim movement is definitely 'jerky' - move the mouse a fraction and the cursor seems to "jump" - and inaccurate, which drives me batty at times.

Yes if you were rushed to be some where or had other things to do.
Morrowinds no FT made it awkward to get into for a short game stop, or if you suffered a crash it become annoying.

Honestly, the only way I'd support bringing back turned based and map node is they made it optional, IMO turn based combat is just to clunky period, and map node is an excuse to make the game world small. I like being able to explore, not clink, enter, find a randomly spawned map cell. Which is what any location on the old Fallout maps were. I'm fine with the map systems now as opposed to the older one. I feel going back to it would be one step forward and two steps back.

Anywho, on topic. I agree, fast travel outside a location can be frustrating, but I honestly think that has to do with a preformance issue. Or maybe it doesnt, I dunno.
