problem with the alpha shotgun

Post » Fri Apr 17, 2009 9:51 am

anyone else notice the alpha version shotgun's ejection is on the left and so the shells fly right into the players face? In http://www.gametrailers.com/video/e3-2010-crysis-2/101802 it literally takes up a large portion of the screen every time he uses the shotgun. I hope this gets fixed. Really bothered me how in Bad company 2 a lot of the guns had left-side ejection ports which makes no sense at all for any gun to have except for the rare "left handed" weapons.

I hope the MG shell casing bug gets fixed as well. Before its detached, you can see the shells eject and it leaves the casing in midair.... quite funny. :D

These sort of bugs should be picked up on and fixed before the final release - the clips are from Beta stage iirc.
if I havnt noticed by now, then its not a problem for me, and BTW, the shotgun is called the JACKAL Im pretty sure
he was only using the shotgun maybe 3 or 4 times. I'm VERY observant and it did take up the screen for a very brief period of time. however, left-handed shell ejections make no technical sense for any weapon unless used by a left-hand user. and real military weapons are made for right-hand use since most the people in the world are right-handed.

correct you are, I dont know why the change, it was prolly overlooked, but it almost adds a nifty feel to it, anyway, I stand by my first post.

And those who are not right handed shall conform to being right handed or else they will miss out on the joys of weaponry in their lives!

It looks ok but needs more of a kickback. The one thing i have not seen yet is weapon customization, it seems to be lacking. Hope it is still in Crysis 2.

How is there a problem with a fictional shotgun from the future that no-one has ever fired before? It's a video game. So what if the shell casings fly in your face? I'm pretty sure the nanosuit can handle some shotgun shells and I didn't see any visual oddities from the clips I've watched.

Besides, if aliens ever did invade earth (in the future) do you really think we would be using shotguns against them?
