Auto-Aim Working?

Post » Thu Apr 23, 2009 9:41 pm

How can you tell if auto-aim is functioning? I have it enabled but for the life of me, i don't see anything happening. What exactly does auto-aim do and how does it function? Is there something else that needs to be done once it is enabled. Otherwise i don't see what all the fuss is about, because auto-aim doesn't appear to do squat.

A few of you have eyesight issues. Autoaim on this game is so OTT it's ridiculous.

Fine then if its such a prolific problem, somebody should be able to post a video of Auto Aim enabled and disabled.

Hi, I don't see auto aim doing anything on mine either, it says it's enabled but doesn't do anything! Not that I'm that bothered as I don't like auto aim anyway, it's cheating! I have only been playing campaign at the mo.

cheating? On call of duty you can't even disable it, yet I don't see anyone complain there? You always have to find something to rant about... If you don't like it disable it and shut up?

I cannot tell the difference when it's on or off. In SP the aim assist is obvious but MP I don't see any placement of my sights at all. A video would be interesting.

If you have aim assist on, when you are ADS, you will notice your reticule will actually kind of stick to enemies. It's very much like the A.A. in Black Ops. The downside of this is if you are "locked on" to an enemy, if someone else comes into your field of view, he can actually drag your aim right off your intended target. I had one instance where I got the drop on 3 enemies and my reticule literally spazzed out, hopping from one target to the next. That's when I turned it off.
