Chief Hanlon because he reminds me of the whole "old, experienced, wise, been through the meat grinder" type leader

My 'favorite' character is not necessarily the most empathetic nor likable—certainly I don't like him. It's Mr. House.

His is probably, and understandably, the most developed character in the game. He is fully fleshed and developed to the point that one can actually discern the slow loss of humanity (not that he has a lot to start with) brought on by his cybernetic devolution into a cyborg.

There are, of course, many other favored characters. This game is full of well written and multidimensional roles. Particularly appealing are the strong females, including Cass and Mother Pearl to name just two.

it is amazing how some of the bit-part characters can exude such personality. Dr. Richards at Camp Forlorn Hope, Ringo from Goodsprings and the "Ghost town Gunfight" quest, Maj. Knoght the Quartermaster at Mojave Outpost, Red Lucy in the Thorn, Marcus at Jacobstown and Neil at Black Mountain, and many more.

Veronica and Fantastic. Fantastic just cracks me up, and I think Veronica is one of the best NPC ever created. When the companions were first announced, I was all like "Ugh, another Brotherhood-girl, Star Paladin Cross-type loser", but Veronica is really great. Her unarmed combat, quest, voice-acting, looks, everything.

Edit: Actually, the same thing goes for Mr House. When I saw a screenshot of House's screen pre-release I thought he was a cheap copy of John Henry Eden, but he surpassed Eden in every way.

My favorite is Mr. House. He is a fully developed character. I especially like his response when you ask about snowglobes. There is complex emotion there. It also shows he is not an AI.

To many others to pick a second.
