I'd be freaked the [censored] out, and, considering my nonexistant survival/fighting skills in real life, I'd probably spend the rest of my days huddled in a corner in Goodsprings. I'd like to go around and explore, but I'd die pretty damn fast.

Assuming I was in Goodsprings, try to hitch a ride with the first Caravan heading to the Mojave Outpost so I can get the hell out of there and go to the NCR where it's safer.

I would gather my thoughts and realize this is a real life version of New Vegas. Real danger of bullets, real thirst and hunger, a real fight for survival. I would bunk with mitchell and help him out for helping me out first. Advertise for him, sweep his place up, clean his medical equipment......ect. Than I would slowly and steadily make my earnings with gecko meat and hide and possibly never venture as far as the casinos without getting serious firearms. I would however steadily make my way back to Primm to collect my pay and interest for almost losing my life over a stupid package. If Primm is in the same situation as the game mentions. I'd sniper out the problem from the southern side, and move my way towards the northern side and sniper some more. At the middle of the night I'd move my way in and take the guns from the dead bodies and plant a mine beneath them for when they try to get to the bodies. The rebels will realize that they are being sniped with booby traps in the surrounding area and hide inside the buildings looking for me through holes or windows. I would stay hidden I would have to beg the NCR to assist in the main assault, Swat style. Once the town has been taken over, I'd ask for monetary assistance to regain my loss from bullets and supplies.

I start searching for the last cat of the wastes, and when I find it? I'm gonna eat it.

Anyway, I'd probably be really annoyed then find shelter, a weapon, a water supply, some food and then wait.
I'd wait a couple of days and just keep a lookout to scan the area of what is around me, if there are radscorpions then I high-tail it out of there, if there's deathclaws then I sneak outta there, anything dangerous and I get out of there.
If it's cool then I try to move to the outskirts of my area and look for people in a certain radius, if I can't find any then I return back and try to figure out a way to hunt animals for food.
If I see people then I try to determine by their clothing, weapons and amount if they're raiders or not, if they're not then I might move forward and ask them for direction to a town.
If they are raiders then I wait for the right moment to murder them all, then I take their stuff and set out their bodies as bait for other creatures.
If I find my way to a town I'd try to find a job as a caravan guard or scavenger and make a living.
After a year or so of earning money and gathering intel about the surrounding towns/cities I'd move to the most secure one and find a new job there, most likely as a town guard so I can get on the good side of the law enforcement, then I'd live out a boring uneventful life fighting petty crime and the occasional raider attack.

Dont worry about that, they would shoot you, because you saw them. Joining the bos isnt really an option unless your a mailman.
