We elitists can be a little excessive, sure, but I still don't think that many people "harass, humiliate, mock and instigate" in this thread.
I consider myself and elitist so I admit I can be a little excessive from time to time but it's not to shut people down, it's to inform them of when they are wrong about something in lore or canon or it's to explain why something was designed the way it was.
'its to inform them when there wrong about something' ?? Well thank god for gabriel! where would we be without your wisdom and knowledge of fallout lol The 'elitists' are the ones that accept no other opinion, except there own!
Well I do agree that I am quite wise.
I'm unfortunately not all-knowing of Fallout but I have my moments.
And:
Fact>opinion.
Opinion=/= fact.
Opinion<>opinion.
If someone wants to for example have more Enclave in New Vegas then I can say that it isn't possible and explain to him/her that Oil Rig is gone, Navarro is overrun and the remaining Enclave either fled east or were hunted down by BOS and NCR.
Those things are part of the lore which is fact.
I rarely if at all state that my opinion about something is fact.
If someone has an opinion about something and mine differ then I might discuss our opinions about the subject but I rarely if at all say that mine is better than someone else's.
And on the continuation of the main game part.
Why I don't want it is because I don't want to miss out on a bunch of lore and new content just because I hate playing after the credits.
So if they release a tiny DLC for just the purpose to let people continue with no other new content added then I'd be fine with it.
But why I dislike it is that I hate to turn off a game when I feel that something is unfinished.
Like, I complete the epic quest, Legion takes over and now I'm warped back and I go ".... Now what?"
I could go do some more courier jobs or explore or just kill stuff, but what's the point?
The end of the game had come, the climix had been reached, and now I'm back to just walking around.
Sure I could just quit the game after being warped back, but it still gives me a weird feeling of it being incomplete, that I turn off the game while there is still something to do, even if there isn't any.
I feel the same way in every GTA game and all other post-credits gameplay games.
Might not seem important but it is to me.
And if they release a DLC with new quests, new items, new characters and tons of new lore then I want it for those things.
And if the DLC doesn't add every single thing that happens in the ending sliders then I feel that it was rushed and it ruins my "immersion".
And lasty, the story is complete, it has a start and an end, tacking on more quests past the final one is pointless.
It'd be like watching a film, say Dawn Of The Dead 1978, then after a couple of months there is a shortfilm made which shows what happens to the two who escape but since it's only 6 minutes it feels rushed and completely pointless since it didn't really close the movie up like the actual ending did.
So, those are my reasons for not wanting one, none are facts really, just saying that it's a dike move just like forcing a +5 cap was with Dead Money.
