Did they show Pc Gameplay at E3?

Post » Wed May 20, 2009 9:44 pm

So i was watching E3 i think 2 days ago when they were playing the demo for crysis 2 and then it cut off to a windows 7 desktop. was that the pc version of crysis or was it an xbox 360 version lol. I know that PC can handle wayy more graphic capacity and have a lot more functions so the difference between the console and the Pc should be pretty huge, they didnt make them equal did they? cuz that would svck.

InCrysis has a video showing a wired 360 controller used to play Crysis 2 at E3. My guess is they used a PC, but the demonstrator Sten Hübler preferred gamepads. Since 360 controllers are almost all wireless, I'm guessing it's the wired PC version.

I was wrong.

I re-read the InCrysis article summary and everything is indeed console footage, except the 3D announcement trailer. That was rendered in real time on PC.

Now I'm anxious to see some 1920x1200 PC footage.

All the gameplay was on console, the cutting out to desktop didn't occur during live gameplay, it only happened when they were showing pre-made videos. I only hope they made it look better on the PC, because i wasn't impressed by the graphics shown at E3, love the cover system tho,

I love the 3D Trailer, and that is PC version, so im happy. 8)

I like the open sandbox level they showed as well on the consoles, it is much more awesome than the boss battle.

There was no PC gameplay which is quite disappointing, but hopefully sometime in the near future we can see some.

Well that is what they said, but sometimes game company's have a tendency not to fulfill there promises. I wouldn't take my word on it but we will see more footage in the near future.

The Xplay interview I saw yesterday was PC. Because the camera zoomed out and although he was playing with the 360 controller, I saw a keyboard on the table infront of him.
